I was doing mine on Creation and another guy in my class was doing Evolution...he was making up all of this stuff about how everything began from one organism and all that. I don't understand how all of the things we see around us could come from one same organism that has mutated. and where exactly did this organism come from? Lying is a big accusation - do you have an ounce of evidence?

What of the basis of evolution is actually dishonest? Do the fossils not exist? Do the ERVs not exist?

Does DNA not mutate? Does natural selection not result in variable reproductive success?

Go on. Tell us what the lies are, or keep your scurrilous, petty minded little accusations to yourself, whilst doing a Bible study on the ninth commandment.

Eternal_flame, it might benefit you to actually read a few threads here before trying to join the debate. Seriously: the discussion is so much deeper than this list of PRATTs that you have offered. You might begin by learning what evolution theory actually is and isn't; looking up the term "abiogenesis" in a science textbook would probably help you enormously. All you've done here is shown your lack of knowledge on the subject you presume to reject.

Also, as a helpful point: "I don't understand how all of the things we see around us could come from one same organism" is the weakest argument you can offer. It's essentially argument from incredulity or ignorance: "I don't get it, and/or I can't believe it, so it must not be!" I don't understand complex astrophysics, but that's no indicator of the truth or falsity of astrophysics.

The fossils exist, but we CANNOT prove that they had babies, we more certainly don't know it had successful babies, and we most certainly don't know it's babies were any different than the parents.

ERVs exist.

DNA mutates, but most of them are harmful. An example of a bad mutation is someone being born without a head.

Natural selection does result in reproductive success, but cannot make a worm into a human, no matter how long you give it.

So your answer is - yes, you are different than your parents. You are not a clone of either one of them. You are taller or shorter, etc. There are physical differences that can not be explained by lifestyle differences.

So, we can probably assume that the same is true for all animal species alive and extinct since this is what we observe.

I applaud your honesty here. You stated it very accurately, You said that you don't understand and it's clear that you don't. But if you wished to understand, it could be explained to you so that you would understand. And if you understood both concepts it would be nearly impossible to reason that Creation has any credibility. Evolution is what nature has shown us to be how diversity of life arose. It wasn't made up, Creationism is the fable.
