CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If the discussion is about whether or not you are a bot then it has probably gone off the rails.

We are so closed minded as humans. We have our minds made up. What is worse is that we pretend that we are open to critique. When you call somebody a troll, you are refusing to learn. You are refusing to grow. You are refusing to reconsider your views on things. When you call somebody a troll, you are telling the person that they are wrong, that they are making havoc, that they do not know what they are talking about, and that you are in fact smarter than that person. When you call somebody a troll, you not only damage the individual, but you also damage yourself even more because you are basically saying that you know everything or that you know enough to know that the other person is misguided, ill-informed, & off base in too many ways. It is a dangerous path to tread. It is a bad habit that leads to cancer and death. What is even worse is that most of us are unaware that certain mentalities are killing us as humans in this path of devolution, since things do get worse. It is also very sad when people pretend to think that evolution does not mean that things are suppose to be getting better.

Joey, have you stopped to consider that it's possible that you are the one who is wrong about evolution, and not all of the actual scientists and well-informed laypeople in this thread?
You've been told many times about what the theory of evolution actually entails. The fact that you are still repeating the same mistakes as you did when you first registered suggests one of several things:
1. You are not physically capable of comprehending what you have been told. (not intelligent, or a bot)
2. You are being willfully ignorant and deliberately not taking it on board because it conflicts with your preconceived ideas
3. You are fully aware of what is going on, and you are pretending you aren't just to be annoying (a troll)
4. You are too arrogant to accept that you were initially mistaken.

As is sometimes the case. But that's not what it means to call someone a troll. To accuse someone of trolling is to accuse them of a particular variety of Internet behaviour, namely, obfuscating genuine discussion with asinine garbage.
As is sometimes the case. Sometimes, the other person really is wrong. Sometimes, having genuinely evaluated your and their beliefs, your beliefs simply do stand up to scrutiny. Sometimes, when someone comes along and confronts your beliefs, they are the ones who're wrong.
'Hyperbole' is a word you should become accustomed with.

Because it's not. We've explained why, thoroughly and exhaustively. You've yet to explain why you think evolution says anything of the sort.
You lambaste us for being close-minded, yet you can't fathom that it might just be you who's wrong, not us. Did that occur to you?

So who do you think is better at interpreting facts pertaining to what the theory of evolution says?
The people on this thread who have studied evolution extensively, the people who developed the theory in the first place, the people who study biology full time, and the people who work with it on a daily basis as part of their career?

if we are not perfect, then we are not perfect at studying anything ever, because we are not perfect. If we spend time on studying a subject, we can accumulate data, but not necessarily accuracy in data. You can conduct thousands of scientific tests & studies, but because we are not perfect, the quality of the accuracy in those tests has the possibility of contaminating those tests.
