The word refers to two things: a change in the frequency of inheritable traits, and the theory that all life on Earth is descended from a single common ancestor. What does evolution mean? What is evolution?
No. We share a common ancestor with them.Did humans evolve from apes?
No.Does that mean that humans are better than apes?
See above. What does evolution mean really?
Yes. Or, rather, it's the mechanism by which species adapt to such things. Is evolution the process of adaptation, of adapting to climates, problems, things?
In terms of survival, yes.Is adapting to situations better than not adapting to situations?
No.Would creatures be better off if they were not adapting to their climate & to their predators?
See above.What does evolution mean?
In terms of reproductive success, yes.Does evolution mean that things are getting better?
No..Pokemon has always been crappy.Don't Pokemon evolve into better Pokemon?
No..Pokemon has always been crappy.
Wikipedia knows the answer. So do I, but I have better things to do than to explain it to you in terms you understand. What does evolution mean?
Read above.What is evolution?
No. They had a common ancestor.Did humans evolve from apes?
If you want to understand evolution, you have to stop thinking of species getting better. They get better at survival and reproduction, that's all.Does that mean that humans are better than apes?
Asking the same question three times in one post is not going to increase the probability of getting it answered. What does evolution mean really?
Roughly, yes, but that's hardly a definition. Is evolution the process of adaptation, of adapting to climates, problems, things?
It's better for survival. Is adapting to situations better than not adapting to situations?
Depends on your definition of better. If you think it's better for a species to go extinct, yes.Would creatures be better off if they were not adapting to their climate & to their predators?
Really? The same question, four times, in one post? What does evolution mean?
No.Does evolution mean that things are getting better?
You, sir, have absolutely no understanding of the ToE, or of science in general.
A fair point. But, your questions are more akin to one who is trying (and failing) to troll, rather than one who is genuinely interested in learning. I don't know of any country or culture where people genuinely think real-world evolution works like it does in Pokémon. If I understood science, then I would not be the one asking the questions here.
If I understood science, then I would not be the one asking the questions here.
Start on this page -> An introduction to evolution
Finish on this page -> Trends in evolution
And you'll have a better understanding of Evolution. At your given age, if you've graduated High School with an Average reading proficiency, you should be able to understand the material.
Not to be too blunt, but that's a complete load of rubbish. The Second Law does not say what you claim, nor does it at all disprove evolution...The second law of thermodynamics states that things are devolving, that things are getting worse, while evolving swears that things are getting better. In other words, evolution contradicts the second law of thermodynamics...
