Evolution question

Simple questions.

Suppose evolution is fact. God wants as many saved as possible, right? If this is true how would the very early humans, hundreds of thousand of years ago, been saved?

to yec - Can you give me any philosophical reasoning to why evolution is incompatible with your religion?

Because I am not descended from an ape - I am created in the image of Adam who was created in the image of God.

In addition, my Young Earth hasn't the innumerable billions and billions of years in which to include the evolution of humans from primeval slime!

I agree with that, but just recall that the image of God is not in reference to His physical appearance. It's in reference to divinity. We are emotive, spiritual and so on. All the elements that God is too.

Why, yes I am. God's invisible qualities have been clear from the beginning (Romans 1). Oh, and the first humans were Adam and Eve. They would have certainly understood it.

But then you'll claim the Bible's a bunch of fairy tales and humanity didn't really begin with Adam and Eve. Which is another debate for another time.

Yeah that's pretty much on the money methinks.

The fact that the Bible says Adam and Eve were the first humans, kills any of these backwards compatibility issues people have, because God was already present and talking to them.

The same way that all human beings have always been saved: by God's grace, through faith.

One the most basic level, evolutionary theory is atheistic, whereas the Bible speaks of a God who does exist, and brought all things into being out of nothing. It's just a little hard to reconcile the idea that God does and does not exist in the same sentence when it comes to cosmological origins, if you know what I mean.

The them in this statement refers to both Adam and Eve

31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was excellent in every way. This all happened on the sixth day.

This is all the evidence I need to know that God created me in his image and that evolution is hogwash.
