Ah, arms full of swag, head down, sprinting for the getaway vehicle...
;)

I figured they were all evolutionists, so I figured that, even if I was caught with the bag in the car, chocolate on my face, and doughnut breath, I would be ushered through the roadblock.

Why do you have a low opinion of bible scholars?

I think my answer would be beyond the scope of the mission statement of this site.

So -- no offense, no comment.

Sources attributing Asaph are uncertain.

Are you one of them?

Or are you just standing behind them and letting them speak for themselves ... or speak for you?

Or what, exactly?

Instead of telling me what others say, how about what RickG says?
It is not a definite he wrote it as you claim.
Says who?

Some subset of the human race that probably thinks God's name is YAHWEH?

Or RickG?

I didn't know you concerned yourself with the mission statement in all of your posts.
When it comes to Bible scholars ... well ... you'd be surprised what concerns me.

Bible scholars got Jesus crucified, didn't they?

No. God did that. That was his plan all along, remember?
Yes.

It was His plan to leave Jesus to the scholars of the time.

In fact, Jesus volunteered.

Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

So not only is it your god's idea to get jesus tortured and killed, your god also sets up some other people to take the blame for it. Nice.

Wow! Just Wow!

You don't trust "bible scholars" because what you are calling "bible scholars" crucified him. But it was his plan and he volunteered?

What part of contradicting yourself do you not understand?

Actually, Asaph wrote it.

Actually that authorship, as with most of the Bible, is uncertain. It might have been authentic, it might have been attributed later, or it might have been only dedicated to him, as with the 'Davidic' psalms. No one knows.

Which is, once again, irrelevant. As per your typical MO, you did not actually address the point being made.

I thought I would address this quote again from a different prospective.

Paraphrasing, you are saying that the Pharisees, bible scholars of the time, are responsible for Jesus torture and death; therefore, you do not trust bible scholars for that reason. Well then, by that reasoning, if God is the one who set him up, shouldn't you distrust be with God instead of the Pharisees (bible scholars)?

BTW, Pharisees was one of several Jewish sects of Jesus' time, not a group of bible scholars. Why didn't Jesus associate with the other sects as well? I would think he would have more disagreement with them than the Pharisees, which was the only sect that advocated "resurrection" as Jesus did.
