You and your friends must be incredibly sensitive then, as I hear all the time how Christianity/creationism is responsible for our country being behind in the World Smarts Competition; and I take it with a grain of salt.
The problem lies in "Fundamental Extremists" in both religion and politics. In other words, the belief that their way is the only way.

Do you know what this means, in the simplest terms?
It means that the US Government must do one of two things:
This is to show that they are not living in a society that is governed a religious group but is one that is governed by the people. Pure and simple.
- If one religious text/icon is put in governmental building or in the area of a government building, they must allow other religious texts/icons on or in the building as well or,
- They will not allow ANY religious texts/icons on or in a government building.
