That doesn't mean you're right. Your gut isn't objective. In fact, your "gut" isn't telling you anything at all. It's your brain.

Gut feeling = intuition.

Gut feeling = intuition.
It's wise to be particularly wary of intuitions about topics in which you have no expertise - and to treat intuitions about topics in which you have expertise as informed guesses.

My intuition regarding evolution is an informed guess.

My intuition regarding evolution is an informed guess.

Gut feelings, can be heavily influenced by a desire to fullfill a personal psychological need. One example would be; protecting a faith belief, at all costs.

But hey, if it works for you, and makes you a better person, that is cool.

Well saint i do not see anything you have done to address them. Why is that?
Because I haven't done anything to address them.
Well dont be shy. Why do you think neither one has anything to do with evolution.
Evolution is about changes to living things. Rain storms are about little drops of water falling from the sky. Dice throwing is about little cubes. Neither little cubes nor drops of water are living things. Therefore they are not part of evolution.

Thanks for that consideration. Belief in creation is part of my moral underpinnings.

But, from your posts, you don't appear to understand evolution, let alone have expertise. Which suggests that your intuition that your intuition is informed, is mistaken.

Not all who call themselves Christians are actually Christians. There are tares among us, and not just a few.

That was the point. If the book can not be used to definitively set Christian morality then it seems a poor method to use.

If you need that belief to be a moral person and your morality would crater without it, it works for you.

I have always been a believer although I have not always been a moral person.

I delved into it as deep as I care to. Man's life span isn't long enough to fully understand evolution, therefore much of it has to be taken on faith. I have better areas to place my faith.

Nope, you believe because you want to belive. You dont know or even understand the data.

Too much, too confusing. I prefer things simple.

To be 'biblically' moral one must be led by the Holy Spirit, which can actually be accomplished without ever having read the bible. In that regard the bible is actually more about the history and prophecy concerning Israel than anything else.

To be 'biblically' moral one must be led by the Holy Spirit. That doesn't take anything away from secular morality however. Any moral behavior is good.

That's nice. If only the holy spirit would give consistent morality it might be useful.
