As you should by now be well aware, the specific origin of life is irrelevant to the ToE, which is an explanation for the observed diversity of life, not its origins. That's why one of the assumptions is entities that can satisfy the requirements I gave earlier.

They don't know how life began but are certain that all the ingredients needed for evolution were packaged and ready when the event occurred.

Living things exist and have existed for a very long time. That's all that's necessary.

Sorry, but this is not an adequate citation. It doesn't even quote Sagan. It's one person claiming that Sagan said that.

I personally heard Sagan say words to that effect.

I suspect you are misremembering.

In addition your linked page has mistaken ideas about probability. The classic "Anything less then 10 to the minus 50 is impossible." which renders any particular poker games as impossible.

Yeah, I covered this back in post 718, to which, curiously, OWG never responded.

The article is about the Drake equation. Without buying the book, I think his source is lying (the fact that the actual page isn't available allows a margin of error).

Here is one piece of it.

Hey hey brother ;)

Before i consider your reply, It seems you may have missed 2 questions

1.
Lets consider the die that rolls or the coin that is flipped. The outcome may be unpredictable but the process involves a hand or human that is a catalyst for the event?

2.
Rain drops may be unpredictable to where they may land but the process which is the series of events that lead to rain are integral and there is a pattern?

Please do not ignore these as it gives the impression that you may not respect me or the questions asked. I feel they are important or i wouldnt have asked.

What u think?

Cheers

Nope, I didn't miss them.

Pressing me for answers on subjects other than the one we're supposed to be discussing -- evolution -- gives the impression that you don't respect me or my time.
What u think?
I think neither one has anything to do with evolution.

It's my gut feeling that I'm right (I have healthy guts).
That doesn't mean you're right. Your gut isn't objective. In fact, your "gut" isn't telling you anything at all. It's your brain.

What are the assumptions in evolution?
Mostly that the laws of nature and physics that operate now operated the same way in the past. And since there is no evidence (and there would be) that they operated differently in the past...
