So whoever designed women did so with hatred for them? I know they have some problems due to their design but...misogyny?
Problems due to their design?

Your creator is incompetent?

I don't understand how creatures that were evolving lived through the catastrophic events recorded in the geologic record. Especially if their 'population' was greatly reduced.
Yet you are cool with a single breeding pair re-populating the earth in a couple thousand years....

I can only go by what you post and I stand by my comments.

You, and many others who argue with me, misconstrue my comments so that you will have something to argue about. If you read them carefully you would likely agree with me, or at the least not disagree.

Problems due to their design?

Ever hear of painful childbirth? Women have always had problems in that area of their anatomy. Did God do that on purpose? The account in Genesis seems to suggest this.

No - tell me all about it...

Why?

Seems pretty cruel and arbitrary. Then, this is the same thug that ordered pregnant women to be ripped up, so...

Electromechanical neurons.
"An electrical synapse is a mechanical and electrically conductive link between two neighboring neurons that is formed at a narrow gap between the pre- and postsynaptic neurons known as a gap junction."

Electrical synapse - Wikipedia

"Sorry, I was referring to chemical, not mechanical, neurons."

So cool how you arbitrarily pick words out of internet finds and run with them, even without grasping the relevance or context of the word's usage. Let's not hope that you use the fact that the word "mechanical" appears on a wiki page about a type of neuron that you think your mention of "mechanical neuron" is justified...

Weird though that you picked that one minor thing out of that whole post to reply to - and you totally ignored all of this:

What is the purpose of the heart sending signals directly to the esophagus?

None, because it doesn't.
"The extrinsic cardiac ganglia, located in the thoracic cavity, have direct connections to organs such as the lungs and esophagus and are also indirectly connected via the spinal cord to many other organs, including the skin and arteries."

Does the heart have to communicate with the brain to both manage itself and the function of other organs?

Umm... This is sort of hilarious to me.

A cautionary tale on drawing conclusions after reading things in fields you have no demonstrable skill, education, or experience in.

You see, "cardiac" means 'pertaining to the heart', and in this context, refers to a region, i.e., 'near the heart'. Extrinsic means 'external to'. These ganglia are outside of the heart, and provide innervation to the heart AND to other organs. The heart does not use them to "manage itself and the function of other organs". Victoria Station, for example, does not allow only Victoria to get on trains...
The stomach has a 'cardiac region' (aka, 'cardia') - do you think this means that the stomach has its own heart?

Weird that you apparently stopped reading that webpage after you found your quote - a bit later, we see:

"The “afferent” (flowing to the brain) parasympathetic information travels from the heart to the brain through the vagus nerve to the medulla, after passing through the nodose ganglion. The sympathetic afferent nerves first connect to the extrinsic cardiac ganglia (also a processing center), then to the dorsal root ganglion and the spinal cord. Once afferent signals reach the medulla, they travel to the subcortical areas (thalamus, amygdala, etc.) and then to the cortical areas."

Nothing about stopping off at other organs. Or sending motor impulses to the larynx. Tell us - did you really just stop reading that when you got the quote you wanted, or did you read the whole thing and not understand it? or not think it mattered? Or hoped that nobody would be able to find it? I don't understand how you operate. It seems rather self-defeating.

I used the word mechanical before I knew it was even a correct term. It seemed a good way to differentiate. Pretty smart, eh? :D

It doesn't matter if you don't understand it. I'm angling for a whole new discovery. Gut/brain science is in it's infancy. Let's not poo poo every idea that you have never heard of.

Misconstrue = twist. For example, you deliberately reject the term "mechanical" when I used it in regard to neurons. You also don't seem to know the difference between speaking and raving. Your attacks on me are the very definition of a rant.

The problem is that I do understand it. YOU don't, and this is made clear with nearly every post you make (that is not some dopey, cutesy, one-liner meant to distract from your latest abject failure) - and all of the stuff that you ignore/omit in your replies:

Yes, of course I am:

Hosea 13:16 King James Version (KJV)
16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.

King James Version (KJV)

I know, I know - they deserved it because their parents had 'rebelled' against Jehovah...:rolleyes:

Yes - because there is no such thing as a "mechanical neuron".

Your own attempt at face saving indicated this - do I really have to show you?

You had written:

"Sorry, I was referring to chemical, not mechanical, neurons."

And then 'supported' that with:

Electromechanical neurons.
"An electrical synapse is a mechanical and electrically conductive link between two neighboring neurons that is formed at a narrow gap between the pre- and postsynaptic neurons known as a gap junction."

Which you got from an entry called "Electrical synapse".

No mention of a "mechanical neuron" anywhere in that entry.

So please explain your accusation - how did I "twist" what you had written when your own attempt to clarify/justify failed to do so?

You also don't seem to know the difference between speaking and raving. Your attacks on me are the very definition of a rant.
LOL!
Right, I am just a meanie... I thought you were an 'alpha male' of some sort?
And by 'attacks', I suppose you mean the many times I correct your erroneous claims, which you often simple re-make over and over, even after having been shown to be wrong?

*added in edit - I should point out that there are nervous system structures called 'mechanoreceptors', but these are not "mechanical neurons", but dendrites or more complex structures that respond to mechanical stimuli.

That is a prophesy of what will happen to some folks as a result of them forsaking God and rebelling. I think they should be thankful to get the news before it happened.

So, when you're about to vomit it's the brain sending the warning signal to your throat? I thought it was the gut. How much research has been done on neural pathways during upchucking?
