I feel like I need to go back through every single one of your posts until I find a couple contradictions. ;)

Because you don't recall any....:amen:

...It's clear that most of you most of the time aren't even going to bother to listen because you've been trained all your life to abandon common sense, ignore evidence, and deny reality, or whatever is necessary to avoid admitting that your bible is simply wrong about how the universe really works.

Your generalizations are useless and only keep you ignorant.
Hardly a scientific mindset at all. But one that makes you fell good about the assumptions you've made.

I don't really trust ICR either, but that wasn't the challange. I don't have to believe in a creationist group to meet the standards of the request.

Do you even read what you write? Of course we do not spend money and time looking for "something you can't find." Aren't you the one going off on SETI all the time because it is a waste of money?

No, that's me. And HOW is that not the case here? And lets assume money = time for a moment.....how much TIME has been spent on the search for other life? Discussion, talk, research, ......heck even TV news time. Likely more time drooling about potential life on other planets than all of the superbowl commercials combined.

.....And creationists like you lap it up like mother's milk, because it reinforces what you want to believe.

Actually I don't follow them because I don't agree with YE Creationists. But don't let me mess up your bias. Think what you will.

Humans don't branch! We're not plants! Plants are products of Satan! Heathen!!!

That just ruins my supper plans tonight.
My wife is not digesting meat well after her surgery.

Thank you.
Even in the multi-verse scientific religion, that just makes sense.
If simple observation effects outcome, then it stands to reason that prayer changes things.

Likely purposeful hatred against some childhood oppressor could cause people to fail to make the connection.

Or you could stick with reality. You can do whatever makes you feel better (and I do hope your wife recovers), but prayer-healing theology just leaves the majority of good Christians to wonder why they didn't get a miracle. Leave God out of the operation room, please.

So you can admit that the bible does contradict itself on occasion. We're getting somewhere!

There are no actual contradictions. But there are passages that take some digging to understand why there seems to be conflict. Like how did Judas dies and such. Nothing that calls into question the basis of the faith. Usually the explanation strengthens ones faith in the Bible.

I have read lists of supposed conflicts, and was able to discount them offhand in seconds. And I am no Bible scholar. I don't think I've read every page yet.

Being wrong doesn't faze him. The more wrong he is, the more powerful his god must be, to have misled the scientists so thoroughly. There's nothing anyone can say to change his mind. It's remarkable to observe, really.

''The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches''

It's an interesting passage. The stars described in a vision are considered angels for each of seven churches. Not a common sermon topic, so I'll have to look around and see what people think about it.

As vague as it is, and I don't believe it's repeated anywhere, so it's not going to be a major point of a Christians focus.

I found some pictures of them here.....accuracy is not guaranteed.

The bible may or may not be internally contradictory, but it sure says a lot of things that contradict reality.

We have of course seen lists of supposed errors in science that show how the bible is actually correct, but anyone with a lick of sense can discount those as fast as they can be read.

We don't need the Bible to 'contradict reality' -- scientists do that just fine.

Here is a view of yesterday's contradictions:

This question was not directed toward you. I specifically mentioned SETI, because AVET (the person I was responding to) often mentions it.

Actually I don't follow them because I don't agree with YE Creationists. But don't let me mess up your bias. Think what you will.
Sorry if I mischaracterized your position.

Not a problem. Specifically, How is SETI not a prime example of scientific waste, bias, collusion, greed, incompetence, and fraud? And in general, the entire search for ET life? Just because it's fun? That hardly stands up the standards of most science.

If science is religion, then it's the only religion in the world that has measurable and verifiable predictions and results regardless of belief in it. :amen:
In your dreams maybe. In reality it never measured the future, or the state of the far past, nor can it. It verifies in box stuff..wow.
