  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

"Pollination"

no this does not disprove evolution, because evolutionists do not say that flowering plants came a long time after insects, in fact, quite the opposite. Flowering plants did not emerge until the Cretaceous, 145 and 60 million years ago. vascular plants appeared in the Silurian. Winged insects appeared in the carboniferous, about 350 million years ago.

Jet, I think you are contradicting yourself here. You said that evolutionsists do not think that flowering plants came about a long time after insects. But then you say that insectes did come before flowering plants. Unless you are using "long" subjectively.

I know. I'm not sure how he got through the net. The scariest thing is that '48' is his age! I expected him to be 14.

Oh, and he said this in another thread: "Must return to the thread demolishing 'evolution for idiots'". You lot better watch out, he's demolishing you!

You to Sean, glad to see you are expressing your own opinion.

I happen to think that the more we talk about evolution, science and the creation of all that is, the more it adds to the greatness and glory of God.

What a creator this guy/girl is....and to think he knows us all.

I wonder if there is something that connects each and everyone of us?
We're supposed to be stardust after all, so maybe this is what it is.

Evolution--Any theory scientists can think up OTHER than what God has told us in the Bible I will always refute as unbelievable and untrue. This is not to say that I don't think we can't better ourselves--Quite the contrary. We improve ourselves daily and over generations, and that's because and ONLY because God allows us to. Peace and God bless!

Namaste marc,

i see... do you refute the theory of gravity? if so, please demonstrate.

do you refute germ theory? if so, please demonstrate.

i think that when you make a blanket statement like the one in your post, that you paint yourself into a corner that is difficult to get out of.

heh, I made an error:

evolutionists do not say that flowering plants came a long time before insects

I will correct the original post, thanks for pointing it out.

Like me.. :p Ive seen a few threads here about this subject, so I figured Id post my own with my own personal opinions. Anyway ,Hello. Newbie here. Newbie, but not naive... Heres my outtake on evolution. It cant be denied, but it is Gods will and design. Proof coming.. God decides what and how far everything will evolve into.

Well, here is the first contradiction with reality. There is no such thing as "how far" species evolve. Life began some 3.5 billion years ago and all living things on earth today have evolved the same distance--3.5 billion years worth of mutations, variations, natural selection, adaptation and speciation in every single lineage.

If we all, and I mean ALL, humans, apes, chickens, rats, mosquitoes, frogs, cows, etc ALL originated at the big bang ,

We didn't. What emerged from the big bang was a plasma of sub-atomic particles so dense and so hot and under so much pressure it couldn't even form atomic nuclei until it cooled down a bit. And it took much longer until the atomic nuclei could hold on to electrons to make atoms---mostly hydrogen atoms. Our solar system did not form until nearly 10 billion years after the big bang, and the earth took another billion years to become liveable.

If we all...stepped from the primordial ooze at the same time

Again, we didn't. The first life forms known were prokaryotic cells, and for 2 billion years there was no other life form on earth. Then eukaryotic cells appeared and for another billion years only the two kinds of unicellular forms existed. Around 600 million years ago we find the earliest traces of multicellular life. And its very different from the life-forms we find today.

or whatever new theory may get tossed out,to make this sudden "spark of life" that evolutionists say was the catalyst of life, riddle me this... WHY did some organisms , say,,,a chicken , evolve into a flightless , defenseless bird that is at the proverbial "bottom of the food chain" , yet we humans kept on gettin' it to the point we are. The top.

Evolution is not about links on a chain or steps on a ladder. It is more like spokes on a wheel or runners shooting out from a strawberry plant. If you lay the wheel flat on the ground, which spoke is farther from the hub? Which is higher than its neighbour? Which runner is winning the race when they all go in separate directions? Evolution is not a race up a mountain with the species getting nearest the top becoming the winner, and every other one ranked according to how far up it got.

And chickens are not at the bottom of the food chain either. Even the worms some of them eat are not at the bottom of the food chain. It is what the worms eat that is at the bottom of the food chain.

Not that being at the bottom of the food chain has anything to do with evolution. We eat grains, nuts and fruits which do not eat anything else. Hence they are at the bottom of the food chain. But they are still very complex plants that took a long time to evolve. None of them appear prior to the Cretaceous period.

Why did the life form known as the rat become a small rodent , scurrying through the sewers of the world , a prey animal, yet, a hawk decided that wasnt for them, were going to grow wings , claws, keen sight, and take to the air.

The hawk didn't decide anything. Neither did the rat. Neither, for that matter, did natural selection. Evolution is a process that functions without the need for decisions on the part of species or the mechanisms of the process.

According to hard evolutionists, all life started at once, so in essence its a big race to the top.

Wrong on all counts. All life forms did not start at once. What you mean is that all of today's life forms are descendants of an early life form. We are all related by common descent.

There is no "top" to race to, and therefore no race. The relationships among living species are more like the relationships on a family tree. If you got together all the living descendants of George Washington, which ones would be on top and what would they be on top of in respect to their ancestor and each other?

If evolution were the case alone , there would have been no prey animals.. I mean, who wants to volounteer for that job???

But evolution doesn't operate by calling for volunteers. And besides, predator animals are prey too--to infectious diseases for example.

Evolution is nothing at all..It is not a case to argue.
Why argue for nothing??? It is all nonsens.
Who dont agree with it they have big problem, but it is their problem.
When some was brainwashed it is like to have a mental illness...
What they like- to argue. You will lost your time uselessly......
They can't imagine where they are fell...I pity them..
