  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Fascinating. :)

When did all the other languages come into being? Was it during the time of Babel?
Yup.

And as far as China is concerned, you do know my justification for that, don't you?

So, Ancient people spoke God's language -- Jacobean English -- up to Babel, at which time God allowed it to be extinguished in order to separate the people who were getting too ambitious (kudos to the builders of the tower for apparently getting the entirety of the human race involved in this project, by the way)

So Jacobean English is more or less gone until it resurfaces just in time for James I to authorize God's Official Bible, the KJV -- at which time God has allowed it to fade once again from the culture, this time naturally, as it slowly evolved into what is now modern English.

That it in a nutshell?

Very good!

And as far as your kudos is concerned, if you liked that so well, you'll love the one-world government that's coming ... won't you?

I recall seeing your scripture citation but I don't remember which one.

So, with the Tower of Babel incident, English was out the and all these other languages we have today come about. Correct?

So then, they scattered, I guess to all the different countries around the world. Right?

I don't know about today, but Jacobean English was replaced with a handful of new languages.

I would assume they grouped into large cliques, then the split occurred, isolating them on four different continents: America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

One world? We cannot even get a functioning one country government going.

I really feel that what our government needs is adult supervision.

Well, that certainly is interesting. I guess they all went back to speaking English after the flood, huh? ;)

Ok, I'll bite.

Why only four and why not Africa?

I am sure the message would have been given to him by arch angel Balonie and he has it written on gold tablets (which he cant find). I believe for his services he has been promised celestial wives. Isn't that right AV?

Sorry, I already made a Mormon joke earlier.

The America's became two continents when the Panama Canal was built; and Africa became its own continent when the Suez Canal was built.

Antarctica, of course, speaks for itself.

And Asia/Europe...? Using your warped idea of what a continent should be, wouldn't you have them as one larger continent...?

(I just know I'm going to regret wasting the time to type that...)

Lest we forget my main point:
I would assume they grouped into large cliques, then the split occurred, isolating them on four different continents: America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Four continents, five continents, six continents, or seven ... my point is the same.

If "four" is confusing to you, then simply read it like this:

There are actually systems that only teach there being 4 continents. The general term is really one more of just convention, and is distinct from the term used by geologists. Of all the crazy stuff AV goes on about, this one is surprisingly.... normal.

I understand that....various models count it as 4,5,or 6...

My point was the particular justification that our silly senior used for his count.... He seems to suggest that 2 continents are formed from one if there is a body of water that separates them, even if it is a man made canal. Hence my question..

Knew it was a waste of time....

Okay AV, just a little review so I understand everything.

The Garden of Eden was in China.
Adam & Eve spoke English.
Noah lived east of Eden, which is New Jersey.
Noah spoke English.
The Tower of Babel incident created all the different languages and scattered them around the world.

Is this correct? :)

Where did that come from?

Noah lived in [what is now] New Jersey.

The Garden [of Eden] was eastward, hence in China; and Adam & Eve lived there, not Noah.

Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

Eden is Pangaea, or Gondwana, or whatever you want to call it.

And here, Rick ... use this: 1

(I've changed my stance on #4 though.)

My over site, I do understand that this was all one continent (Pangea). I should have mentioned that.

Now, what is this change of mind about #4?
