  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Yes, it's so trust worthy that, what 40 plus reviews are voided. How many before now have been let through? The Smithsonian have been hiding, destroying and discrediting anything that does not fit their precious TOE for years....

This fact will be more and more obvious in the next few years..

I remember a creationist who said almost the exact same thing...

"Today, at the dawn of the new century, nothing is more certain than that Darwinism has lost its prestige among men of science. It has seen its day and will soon be reckoned a thing of the past. A few decades hence when people will look back upon the history of the doctrine of Descent, they will confess that the years between 1860 and 1880 were in many respects a time of carnival; and the enthusiasm which at that time took possession of the devotees of natural science will appear to them as the excitement attending some mad revel." Eberhard Dennert, At the Deathbed of Darwinism, 1904, cited by Ronald L. Numbers, Creationism In Twentieth-Century America: A Ten-Volume Anthology of Documents, 1903-1961 (New York & London, Garland Publishing, 1995) Source: Talk Origins message news:atn3n90189g@drn.newsguy.com ...

Again, I know this is tough with your human dimension brain,

You seem to have done well with yours.

God exists in a dimension in which "where?" is a question that is absurd.

If he created us, so do we.

He created space and time. "where" is what He created. In His dimension the question is absurd. There was no "where" or "when" before God created space and time.

And yet, if we truly are His creation, then we too are part of His dimension.

Consider the following:

037.jpg

Imagine that the larger bowl is God's dimension, and the smaller one -- the bowl inside the bowl -- is our own. The same rules that affect the larger bowl will affect the smaller one inside.

Can you really have God simultaneously having created our dimension and then hiding outside of it, claiming the rules don't apply to him?

Do you have evidence for that statement?
Yes how many limbs have regrown?

Cool... but where did your god come from?

Absolutely. God is not subject to the physical laws that govern His creation. He created time for instance, but he's not subject to it.

Absolutely. God is not subject to the physical laws that govern His creation.

But He is subject to the physical laws which govern His own dimension -- whatever those may be.

He created time for instance, but he's not subject to it.

Chapter and Verse? Why are we assuming that God created time?

The scientific consensus is extremely strong: every major scientific organization in the world says that evolution is real. A 1991 Gallup poll showed that 5% of scientists, including those working outside of biology, agree that evolution is real
Only 5%?!

That doesn't sound extremely strong to me.

As you are fond of saying, "nothing" is your forte when discussing creation.

But I suppose you do deserve to know the basis of my disagreement with you:

All of your "theories" are based on two premises:

1: That the Bible (only the King James, of course) is the literal and infallible word of God, written by him through infallibly inspired human agents, and infallibly preserved word for word through the millennia.

2: That your interpretation of it -- inspired or not -- is correct.

Now, I assume that my basis for disagreeing with 2 needs no explanation, so let's focus on 1.

If I were were to accept the existence of the Christian God on any level, He would have to have two qualities:

A: An unconditional love for His children -- namely, us.

B: A respect for the gift of Free Will that He allegedly gave us -- God, as I have been told, doesn't want mindless drones; He wants us to choose him, no strings attached.

Unfortunately, your first premise runs counter to both of these qualities. And a god who doesn't have these qualities probably isn't the Christian God, and definitely isn't a God I would choose to worship of my own free will, "no strings attached."
Fair enough.

I asked.

Thanks for the reply.

but god can't handle iron chariots.
God has chariots of fire.[VERSE=2 Kings 6:17,KJV]And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.[/VERSE]

He also hates figs.

12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:

13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.

14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.

Couldn't that be considered an instance of wrath?

Right on! Why curse something for not producing figs, when they're not in season. ROFL.
