  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think I read somewhere they excavated Solomon's stable. Of course something like that is going to create a lot of controversy.
Solomon's stables figure prominently in such stories as the Knights Templar.

The main principle of deception is if a lie is being repeated long enough most people will believe it in time. All the leaders of the world have known this fact and of course the father of lies and the master of deception.

The theory of evolution is taught to kids at young age where they lack the understanding to define theory from fact, followed by the world's propaganda in movies, news etc presenting this theory as a fact. I must confess I had problems with this topic myself although I was Christian. I simply had heard this lie so often that it was hard for me reading the poetic words of genesis without having to come up with a far fetched ideas about the relativity of the two very different subjects. That was before Jesus sent his messenger Trey Smith to explain it all so I could understand on a logical level.

I really recommend this video, it's long but it's a time well spent! It takes a lot of faith to believe the evolution theory after watching this very educating piece of information.

He's right.

Children start learning about evolution from the moment they start watching TV, if not sooner.

MY wife and I can't enjoy an episode on Animal Planet without hearing about what evolved millions of years ago.

Try visiting the zoo, a planetarium or observatory, or a national park without being exposed to this propaganda.

I don't think you know what propaganda is.

I'm afraid that he does know, very well.

In natural science, particularly involving the past, "interpretation" is necessary. The gaps in major points of evidence are "missing". Like how did salt water and sediments make DNA. Is some evidence missing? Yea, just a bit.

Well I do and he is correct. One of the tools of efficient propaganda is based on the principle that the best way to change an ideology of the masses is repeat a premise over and over to the youth. It does not have to be a truth because if one repeats an outright lie over and over (perhaps tie in in with "the appeal to authority" template) and the masses WILL believe it.

The Media moguls understand this principle when "shaping" (to purposely engineer) the public's opinion, Madison avenue Admen understand this and sell us all sorts of ideas and products (even the idea we need this garbage), political campaign managers rely on this principle when hiring professional rhetoricians to compose speeches using previously created euphemisms, emotionally charged buzzwords and so on.

Secondly, imprinting in humans (accomplished through sight and hearing often with associated emotionalism) is most effective between the ages 2-7....any study of imprinting will let you know that once accomplished it is most improbable that it will be undone. For humans one of the best ways to imprint is to tell the premise while showing an image....in the case being discussed here a propaganda piece like "Walking with Dinosaurs" bypasses actually knowable facts and "convinces" or "shapes" the background though which trust of any future input will be filtered.

Are religious beliefs taught to kids at a young age?

Are kids taught if they don't believe they may go to hell?

When kids learn about science and evolution, are they told if they don't believe it they may go to hell?

Doctrine is ... yes.[VERSE=Proverbs 22:6,KJV]Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.[/VERSE]

If they don't receive Jesus Christ as their own personal Savior, they will go to Hell.

Not that I know of.

Misleading information should be added to this.
Here's the full definition:
Information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.
And for the record, let's made an addition here:
Information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political or scientific cause or point of view.

How disgusting. How dare they discuss scientific topics linked to what you're watching/visiting.

The next thing you know you won't be able to enjoy an episode on the God Channel without hearing about what Jesus did.

I don't consider evolution a viable scientific topic linked to what we're watching.

I would take that up with the producers of the show.
Forget it.

I'm not going to go on a crusade against every network, planetarium, observatory, zoo and state park in America.

Instead, I'll just be content to stay at home and leave the TV off.

(I don't watch a lick of TV anyway.)

...Hang on, what? This has got to be my favorite piece of projection ever. The only solid correlate for a person's religious beliefs is the beliefs of that person's immediate family. Why is this? The commonly accepted explanation is indoctrination. The child is exposed to ideas that are taught to them as true before they develop the critical thinking faculties to rightfully discern whether the ideas are true or not. When a 3-year-old child chants "Death to the Jews in the name of Allah", do you think they understand what they're saying? When you baptize your children, do you ask them first? When you introduce your offspring to the bible, do you take the time to critically examine it with them as adults or young adults, or do you show it to them as impressionable toddlers? Yeah.

I really recommend this video, it's long but it's a time well spent! It takes a lot of faith to believe the evolution theory after watching this very educating piece of information.

Three and a half hours?! You expect people to watch a documentary as long as a director's cut of The Fellowship Of The Rings that has random capitals in the name? Pull one decent argument out from that mess and I'll give it a look-see.
