  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What is the point of this thread?
You keep asking the same question. I asked a question about the theory of evolution and modern nutritional science. That question was answered and now you keep asking me questions about stuff that has nothing to do with the topic and subject of the thread which is either evolution or nutrition.

Because I don't understand what your thread is about! It is that simple, and even the one person you say answered your question asked you the same question I am asking you and you ignored him too. So again: what is the point of this thread?

Well it obviously doesn't if people keep asking you to explain yourself.
That just reflects on my ability to be able to answer their questions. I actually have taken four teacher training classes. So I do have some understanding about teaching. Usually we use Jesus as an example because HE was the greatest teacher that ever lived.

What you just said means absolutely nothing. You have still not once explained the point of this thread.

Of course it does.
Even if you do know a lot of factual information about the theory of evolution, from interactions with you, I can safely say that you are extremely poor at communicating that knowledge. Perhaps take the less is more approach, and use as few words as possible to get what you know across.

Right here in this thread there was one person that was able to answer my questions. That means there is only one person in this thread that knows more about evolution than I do.
Actually, at most, that would suggest that there is 1 person that manages to understand you personally. If I don't know what you are asking, how can I answer? Your questions often come off as vague and unclear.

Everyone else is asking me questions. Of course I do not know how many people reading the thread know more then me about evolution because they would see that my question has already been addressed so there is no reason for them to respond.
Actually, redundancy in answers is pretty common. Some people might have more to add, or a different perspective.

Everyone in order to get a High School degree has to know a little bit about evolution. The question is HOW many people can pass a College Biology Exam?
I got 100% on one last week, and some of the people on here teach it or are career biologists, so I think it is safe to say they'd probably pass too.

Why don't we start there with you answering that question for me. I claim that I know enough about the Theory of Evolution to get a passing grade on a College level Biology Exam. Now you tell me what percent of the people in the world today can make that claim. Let me help you out 6.7% Of World Has College Degree. Out of 6.7 percent of the people how many of them have a degree in Biology? How many of them can get a passing grade on a Biology exam. How about if we use one third for a number. That means 2.21% of the people have a better knowledge of Biology then I do IF they have a actual college degree in Biology.

But did you actually take a college level biology exam? I could give you a practice one, and grade you. Also, you are assuming that a person would have to already have a college degree to have the possibility of passing, but I HAVEN'T GRADUATED. Heck, it is entirely possible that a high school dropout could pass a college level biology exam if they had enough interest in the subject to learn about it on their own.

Basically, you answered your own question, but did it by pulling numbers from thin air. Based on the fact that you eliminated a ton of candidates for passing the exam without even putting them in the pool of trying, I just have to shake my head. You didn't even include people that would be working towards degrees in biology, the most likely group to be currently taking biology exams. On the exam I took, about 75% of the class passed with most in the B-A range.

That of course is assuming that someone with a degree in biology knows more than someone that can pass a college class in Biology. My claim that I know more about evolution than 97% of the people is just a reflection of how little the theory of evolution is understood by the average person living in the world today.

Claiming you know a lot doesn't demonstrate that you do. I don't know if you could pass a biology exam, but I think you'd fail a statistics one.

Without looking it up, explain how the letters A, C, T, and G relate to biology.

Yup, still pi, like I said. Here's how the math changes if you replace pi with 3, assuming diameter and radius are the same.
circumference = 516 inches
Compared to 540 inches, that is a difference of 24 inches, or two whole feet. Get why the decimal places are important?

That is why I always qualify what I say with the word TRUE: True Science says... I do not make any claims for false science or counterfeit science and there is a ton of that out there. Actually the whole process of science is to get rid of the false and counterfeit. The scientific method is to determine what is true and what is not true. Look at the Textbooks, they keep having to upgrade them with new editions to keep the information current and accurate. Old editions are not considered to be accurate or reliable. Usually in order to have a new edition they have to totally revise at least one chapter. I actually buy textbooks for about $5 each. My son at the university has to have the current edition and he has to pay up to $300 for pretty much the same book with more accurate and updated information. This should clearly show you how reliable and dependable science is. What amazes me is how good of condition those $5 books are in. Almost new condition.
I guess, if you were an engineer starting out in the late 70's - along with all your measuring instruments and reference manuals, you'd have one of these state-of-the-art TI-30s specifically pitched for engineering:

If you can find one today, you could get it for say, $5.

An engineering student hitting practice in the field today, likely spends at least $300 to get an entry level engineering tablet, or if you really wanted to spend the big bucks, could get into something equally portable like this Panasonic FZ-Y1 Performance Model specifically pitched for engineering:

I guess Science is like that. If we want to be at the cutting edge of what we know & do, that's a price we have to pay... :p

On another note, After reading all the posts to date, I've decided the OP is just trolling now. There's no way someone would seriously say they both know everyone knows evolution is false and believe the same, and that he knows biology better than 98% of everyone else on this planet...

:D GOOD ONE @joshua 1 9 , you got me!

... Wait, so you say, in your very first post that you know that evolution is not true, then in a later post say that you know more about evolution than anyone else, BUT THEN you say that you do not have it all figured out.
Then what was the point of this thread if you admit yourself that you do not have it figured out?!

Do you notice a pattern?
