Axioms are assumed to be true statements!Axioms are by definition taken to be true within the system in which they are used. They are the basis of such systems, not absolute or universal truths.
Just as there are different geometries depending on the specified axioms, there are also variations of mathematics using different axioms.
I don't think that science would exist as a valid ideology without measurement.
Measurement is a mathematical methodology.
Mathematics stands on the mathematical axioms.
Assumptions and axioms are the beating heart of science.
