Male/Female isn't controlled by chemicals in the womb, but by the chromosomes that you have.

We weren't all female, btw. If you're male, you've always had a Y chromosome, making you male.

No, I am pretty sure humans are females by default.
But then, the babies are subjected through some hormones.
Males are weaker than Females after birth because they were subjected the most with those chemicals. I remember looking into something like this before.

The XX & XY are just stimulated by those chemicals and take on the form I think
, maybe I overlooked some factors that explain the X & Y chromosome combinations ...

Genetically, anyone with a y-chromosome is considered male, and this usually works out nicely. However, I believe that you are right about everyone developing as a female originally. I believe (and this may be wrong, I'm by no means a biology expert) that there is a certain part of the y-chromosome that will trigger a series of events that will cause the fetus to develop as a male from that point onwards. This can be defective, in which case it will appear that a baby girl has been born, and it will be impossible to determine that the "girl" has a y-chromosome until puberty (since the poor kid won't go through it, I think).

I don't think that this can explain homosexuality. From what I've heard the area on the y-chromosome that causes one to be male physically either works or it doesn't. There is no sort of, and even if there were I would expect to see physical differences between homosexual and heterosexual males, which there aren't. Furthermore, this could not explain homosexual females, since there is no possibility of them accidently developing as males for a bit, since those genes are on the y-chromosome, which they don't have.

So, nice theory, but it doesn't seem to pan out.

if a xy fetus not exposed to a certain amount of those chemicals that changes them into males will develope female genitalia, but still this xy fetus will not be a real female because it will still need the xx chromosome

males... staying females <--- homosexual females

if a xx fetus is exposed to too much of that chemical could become masculine

females... transending to males <--- homosexual males

But I am not saying this is correct though, it is just an idea that I thought of last night since I had nothing to do... :(
