  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This is what I can't stand. "God did it. Case closed." science is not about being stuck in one viewpoint, it's about adapting our views in light of the new scientific discoveries made every day! Whereas religion is about blindly turning away from said discoveries by simply saying, "If it looks like something other than what the bible says, then that is only because god made it that way." How can you have a debate with someone who does not understand the fundamental purpose of a debate, being a process of sharing respective views to see who's logic is more identifiable. Fundamentalist Christians disregard logic.

And what should we do when science disagrees with our fundamental doctrines -- (like the Resurrection)?

Did God create other Human Species besides us. I'm talking about Homosapiens. Fossil records show fossils of Human Related Species they say we Evolved from. Like millions of years ago I guess. Can someone help me understand more?

Anything that is

God created it

to be is.

Anything that was

God created it

as was.

Anything that is to be.

God will create it

in its time to be.

Try to find a single shred of logical evidence to support your claims, as is the nature of debating. There is not one single shred of actual evidence beyond once removed witnesses talking about people they have never met in the bible.

There is no evidence that yeshua, or Jesus as he is mistakenly known, even ever existed. Not one shred.

Then your logic can take a hike.

Christians don't cast their fundamental principals aside that easily.

And that's what you guys can't understand -- our faith.

You say you can't stand it when we say: God did it -- case closed; and I can understand why.

They even talk about him in the Koran.

Atheism causes no harm. Fundamentalist Religion causes more harm than any other force on earth. Marital rape, racism, war, homophobia, genocide, anti-semitism; are these really things that should be encouraged as the bible does so?

P.S. They talk about how in the Koran, eh? And you believe the Koran?

Atheism causes no harm.
Tell that to the Jews, who have had to defend their right to the Promised Land throughout history.

If God doesn't exist, then Who promised the Promised Land to them?

(Please answer this -- thank you.)

And by the way, BC is now BCE... meaning "Before the Common Era".
No, it's not -- B.C. is still B.C.

B.C.E. is another designation altogether.

There's a difference between adding something and changing something.

No one promised the promised land to them... There is no promised land.
Then I'll take your statement that 'atheism causes no harm' with a grain of salt.

And for the BC bit, I know it's Before Christ... What I was saying is the the most commonly taught term is now BCE, not BC anymore.
I don't really care what is 'commonly taught' today.

I was addressing this doosey of a remark:
There is no evidence that yeshua, or Jesus as he is mistakenly known, even ever existed. Not one shred.

Okay sorry, but I'm not quite sure I understand the point you are trying to make here? What harm are you saying that atheism causes? Jews not having a promised land? Is that harm? And are you saying that Jewish people are atheists...? Because that is kind of an oxymoron...
