Of course, He knew exactly what would happen.

Which was part of the plan all along, perhaps. Those who believe in a literal Flood are quick to remind us that God has promised never to destroy the Earth with water, because the next time will be with fire.

But he never did say what kind of fire, or even how many... perhaps this time He's opting for a trillion tiny fires instead of one large one?

Phosphorus bombs?

The claim that it's all (including thousands of years of unconscionable human suffering) part of 'God's Plan', makes the 'evil God' argument more plausible than the omnibenevolent God.

Cute.All in God's time.

Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

My favorite example is oil embedded into God's creation, to be discovered in God's time.

It would be real nice if you had some evidence to support those assertions.

Make a whole lot of atheists believes?
Uh-huh.

And I'm Genghis Khan.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

John 12:28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

John 15:24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.

It's an interesting kind of fool's errand -- they follow orders even after being explicitly told that their orders are pointless... and they still dare not question those orders.

If you did though, it wouldn't matter.

In fact, it would just make things worse.

Notice those three passages I quoted?

That last one is particularly telling, as it says He, and His father, will be hated.

I see that A LOT on this site:
  1. God would owe me an explanation.
  2. God had better explain to me why evil and deception abound.
  3. God is no different than Krishna.
  4. God lied to me all these years.
  5. God didn't give me freewill.
  6. God can't make a rock so heavy He can't lift it.
  7. God's children pushed me away from Christianity.
  8. And a hundred other reasons they used not to believe in Him.
Keep in mind too that a lot of people here are God's children, who left Him for mother nature.

Do you think, when He shows up, they're going to go running back to Him?

Almost all reasons which have to do with a biblical literalist version of Christianity rather than theism in general or even the fundamental doctrines of Christianity.

As I understand it, there are some 40,000 different flavors of Christianity available to any and all atheists.

And they won't touch them.

If you won't eat sugar, don't expect to go running out in the street when the ice cream truck comes around.

You might throw rocks at it ... or shake your fist at it ... or just ignore it ... but you won't go running out there to buy something.

They're all equally unappetizing.

Especially if what they're selling isn't ice cream after all.

Didn't Cheech and Chong sell drugs out of an ice cream truck in one of their movies?

You were speaking about those who were driven away from Christ by doctrine--not unconverted atheists.

Indeed -- we can tell the difference between ice cream and what they're peddling...
Man with cigar in his mouth: No, sir. I won't let MY kids eat all that sugar. It'll poison their bodies!

Do you know the difference between a "bad person" and a "bad seed"?
Of course.
A bad seed is small, and vegetable in nature.
A bad person is bigger, and sociopathic... or holds fundamentalist ideologies in the face of all reality.
