J says-. . . To be a molecular biologist requires one to hold onto two insanities at all times. One, it would be insane to believe in evolution when you can see the truth for yourself. I'd be out of a job, or relegated to the outer fringes where I couldn't earn a decent living.

Caylor says-I hate to say it, but that sounds intellectually dishonest.

J says-The work I do in genetic research is honorable. We will find the cures to many of mankind's worst diseases. But in the meantime, we have to live with the elephant in the living room.

K. says - Of course we don't actually believe this stuff, but have you seen the profit margin on an anti evolution book? It's pretty darned impressive. Besides, no one really believes this stuff, do they?

Just a small observation on the 2nd law of thermodynamics. The reason it appeals so much to certain Christian groups is, because it seems to support the "theory of the fall." The traditional Christian view is that of a decadent Universe that needs redemption by the Creator. But in fact the Universe is at peace with itself, and like Lao Tse put it, Heaven is generous yet it looses nothing. It's easy to imagine that the Universe is self-contained: for every action there is a reaction, equal and opposed. Such is it with enthropy. Creationists seem to fail to understand that the evolutionary increase of complexity in life-forms does not equate efficiency. To this day, plants have the greatest life expectancy of all life there is. There is a resonance region among life-forms for which energy management is most efficient. Left and right of this region, life expectancy decreases. Left we have primitive life, right we have complex life, including us. But from an energy point of view we are not the most successful, and it doesn't have to do with SIN at all.

DNA has both digital and analog elements to it. I'm not sure it's possible to definitely classify it one way or the other.

EDIT: Now that I'm thinking about it, the actual DNA code (as opposed to the routine tasks of the cell) is digital.

Yes, I'm aware of that. I was making the point that the "interview" offered by FA2FJ is complete rubbish, means nothing and is completely irrelevent. Unfortunately if this faeces is offered, you have to flush the toilet.
