• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

That is my point, there is a difference between: "evilution" and evolution. I have said many times there is no conflict between true science (evolution) and the Bible.
Excuse me, but since when is evolution "true science"?
If it was, i'd be a theistic evolutionist, and i didn't have the whole (western) world disagreeing with me, because there wouldbe evidence to support evolution, and DNA would be able to write itself by means of data corruption and selection of the viable remnants of mutated life.

Isn't Europe where the Antichrist is supposed to come from?
No, he will be the false messiah and win wars for Israel.
It's true though, that the faith is as good as dead here (in EU)
Either dead or diseased...

I thought he was supposed to come from the European Common Market ... or some such place.

I come here because I think good science is worth defending. I think good science is important for the future of the human race. The problem is that some Christians have decided that they need to stop people from doing science, from learning about science, and from advancing science. I think it is worth my time showing that their arguments don't hold weight.
How's it working out, in your opinion?

The irony being that its science that destroys the famous 19th century conjecture...
But that will take a generation to trickle down to the sheeple, as usual...

So you accept that humans and all life share a common ancestor?
The problem is that "evilution" is a fake, a copy or a counterfeit of the real thing.

What is "evilution"?

If it was, i'd be a theistic evolutionist, . . .
You are assuming that you would accept valid science if it conflicts with your religious beliefs.

because there wouldbe evidence to support evolution,

and DNA would be able to write itself by means of data corruption and selection of the viable remnants of mutated life.

I guess you never heard of biological reproduction?

Get real.
Evolution is fed everywhere, even in cartoons, you name it.

Heaven forfend that cartoons would actually show reality! Oh no! What's next, cartoons that show gravity working? Atoms? Germs? Eeeeek!

In Christ-

And exactly what "conjecture" would that be? Surely not Evolution, because, although it could fairly be described as unproven in 1859, or even 1900, that is in no way the case today.

So they say, but so they can't show...
Amazing though, how people regurgitate mantras of proof and mountains of evidence, and that we see it every day around us.

Meanwhile in the real world, the ACTUAL evidence shows only more that is not explained by evolution theories.
I really wonder if you folks realise you believe in DNA coding itself to bring forth organs, systems of organs, that only work when complete.
O, but then DNA suddenly isn't data or code, no, they're just molecules without meaning...

What makes you guys think you know better, by believing in dead unconscious things performing miracles?
Yes folks, miracles.
There is no law of nature that brings forth fine tuned universes and potentially perfect high end nano-technological systems that can copy themselves by recombining abstractions of itself.
Forget it.

Indeed, the fool says: "There is no God". (as in Creator (design and manufacture))

You don't have to be a Christian or "YEC" to acknowledge a creator.
Primarily it just means that life is something special, and humans, since they're the 'best animal', in particular.
That's why we have to be good to eachother.

That is fine with me, call it theistic evolution if you want. So really our choice is are we going to endorse theistic evolution or atheistic evolution.

Pretty good. Creationists aren't able to address the evidence that is presented, and this demonstrates to readers that creationism is without support.
The skeptics/scoffers aren't able to address the evidence that is presented, and this demonstrates that they are with support. Again you have shown that we always accuse others of the very thing we are guilty of.

Next time you go to the doctor, as them what they think of evolution and what role it plays in modern medicine.

After you ask, cover your ears.
