  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

(chuckle) I'm not all pent up inside or jammed up or anything like that. It's just that all the romance ads are like someone sitting next to you poking you all the time, like when you were in grade school. The unreality of it all is disappointing, and yet this is the culture we live in. It's like being between a rock and a hard place while someone sings merrily about how great the rocks are and how there are no hard places and it's all singing birds and rainbows...

Maybe I should have called it 'delusion alert'!

There is of course the alternative of turning the TV off, but that's one of the few places to hear adult voices at home that I have. And of course if you want to see monster machinery at work.... I wonder if guys find such machinery interesting because it's massive tilling of the earth. How would Adam have reacted?

E-Harmony IS evil. I took their personality test once just 'cause I was bored... and all I got were results that told me nothing I didn't already know. Their "sophisticated matchmaking system" is even worse...

You're a better person then me! I couldn't even make it through the test. Half way through, my interest level plummented and I have yet to finish it. That was about a month and a half ago! I am sure that says something about my personality right there.....

What I got generally said that they say they can ensure success so much because they don't take on the low percentage cases, or something like that. I don't know what makes me low percentage. Regardless of the flaming bag, I'm not a freak or anything.
