Before the bargain, there was no childbirth. God rests from his creation and it is very good.
The tree forbidden to Adam was discernibly delightful nevertheless. "Good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it".
This is nature's bargain with life, conscious life especially. This is the human quest. for that which enhances survival. This discernment is what keeps us alive, in nature. It is the clay speaking.
To choose nature is to choose childbirth. It is to choose embryos growing inside, first kicks, the first appearance of trusting eyes.
I don't think there is a fundamental case to be made for God condemning Eve for being a woman and choosing children in that devil's bargain. He instead advised her of what her life was going to be like now, and left her with a fur and a hope box prophesy. And that is about it.

Sin came through Adam for whatever it was he did or didn't do.

The error in your theory is this: Prior to the fall, there was no such thing as "enhances survival" or "keeps us alive, in nature." These are all post fall-considerations.

Adam and Eve's motivations are quite clearly documented in Genesis 3:

"5. But God doeth knowe, that when ye shall eate thereof, your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, 8 knowing good and euill.

6. So the woman (seeing that the tree was good for meate, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to get knowledge) tooke of the fruite thereof, and did 9 eate, and gaue also to her husband with her, and he 10 did eate."

It had absolutely nothing to do with children.

First post after an about 15 year hiatus (back when Erwin was around). In fact I was much instrumental in the statement of belief. So, JR is back but will be much less active due to time pressure.
1- childbirth was commanded of both Adam and "ish-shaw nâshîym" (the woman, not yet having received a personal name, for more see for example Balashon - Hebrew Language Detective: ish and isha). Gen 1:28 And God H430 blessed H1288 them, and God H430 said H559 unto them, Be fruitful, H6509 and multiply, H7235 and replenish H4390 the earth, H776 and subdue it: H3533 and have dominion H7287 over the fish H1710 of the sea, H3220 and over the fowl H5775 of the air, H8064 and over every living thing H2416 that moveth H7430 upon the earth. H776 (KJV)
Therefore the idea that the fruit eating was connected with reproduction is wrong, it was a coomand from God prior to the fall.
2- Eve became a sinner for the same reason all became sinners (including the squirrels, plants and even the ground). Nowhere does Scripture say that God commanded the woman not to eat of the fruit, nor to obey her husband until after the fall. 1 Tim makes it clear that Adam sinned in direct disobedience whereas Eve fell into it, being deceived. Clearly Eve knew this was not right, but in typical female fashion, nothing is clear about the story as there is no legitimate command written to her not to eat. This is why I wrote that technically, she did not sin by eating of it. What is not written is not law. It is not written that she was commanded by God to not eat, nor to obey her husband until after the fall. However, all women are now born as totally depraved as are all men because the curse of original sin is through the male line. The point of this is that all sin is because of Adam, not Eve, who was TECHNICALLY innocent via a legal loophole. Therefore it was only a second Adam, truly man biologically descended but with no earthly father that could save us. This is the reason for the virgin birth, as predicted in Gen #:15, a man who is "seed of woman" only. Gal 3:16 makes it explicitly clear Eve did NOT introduce sin to the world. It is clear to me that is because she was never commanded by God not to eat of the fruit of the knowledge of Good and evil.
3- I also concur with Newtherean. There was no possibility of death prior to the fall, thus no "enhanced survival". Once Adam ate, everything began to "dying you shall die" which is to say, not an immediate death as translators write, but a process of decay.

Yep, JR and his insanity are back.

Now, in what way did God put a specific hatred in the woman for Satan? This I do not understand.

Regarding eating the unidentified fruit.

New International Version
but God did say, 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.'"

New Living Translation
“It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’”

English Standard Version
but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’”
