Counterproductivity has a good number of faces, I'm sure, and this one is rendering its share of frustration.
Proceedings have really soured for me in respect to CLEAR DIALOG. Take your pick of oath 'keepers', confirmation hearings, committee hearings or every form of reported testimony, yes and no answers are dead! The more 'insightful' responses are 99% of the time classic examples of stonewalling and forcing the evidence-packed questioner to always conclude: "So, you're not annswering!"
Could contempt's bar be raised to accommodate the obvious?
