I haven't seen a post like this (ever) and think it could be fun.

What're everyone's favorite non-Christian books?

I'll start:

1] The Lord of the Rings - J.R.R. Tolkien

2] John Adams - David McCullough

3] The Wind in the Willows - Kenneth Grahame

4] 1776 - David McCullough

5] On a Pale Horse - Piers Anthony

My mind has gone blank....

Oh wait, the Dictionary.
Not sure what you mean by non-christian as most books I read have christian characters in them. Would memoirs and autobiographies be classified as non-christian? Even if the narrator is not particularly christian or overly religious, I can't help but see redemption and morals and love in well-written ones.

I like funny books and cookbooks too.
I'm into gardening books as well...although I think that must be christian as its talking about creation, but you may get the odd one that claims plants have evolved over a million years.

Non-Christian meaning non-Theological. Just popular books.

I used to be quite an avid reader, but admittedly it is a hobby I have not enjoyed in recent years due to personal struggles. That being said, I would say Watership Down and Animal Farm are two of my favorites. I also used to enjoy the work of David Clement-Davies and Erin Hunter.

When I was younger I used to absolutely love the Fear Street and Goosebumps line of books by R.L. Stine and Animorphs and Remnants series of books by K.A. Applegate. In hindsight, I am not sure I would recommend them for the Christian youth though.

Animal farm was one we were forced to read in school for .english, but I had read it before then and liked it.

The one i hated the most that we were forced to read was lord of the flies by william golding.

Yeah, that book was kind of dark and twisted.
