Even though Im 6'4 and have a big fro most of the time.. Yes. I can occasionally feel as if nobody notices anything that Im doing or have done. Sometimes, we just need to really speak up. Dont drop hints. Tell it how it is..

Instead of saying "no, Im doing okay.." but in a down tone, hoping someone will pick up on it.. say it; "No, things aren't going too well. Im struggling."

I hope you are doing better and have overcome this isolation.

I agree Dave. It's just so hard to tell people how I'm really feeling. I hate to bother others with my problems. Plus If I was honest everytime someone asked me they would get so sick of hearing my sad stories.:(

Opposite for me. I tell people the way it is... and they have historically just trampled on me, or just flat out didn't care. So basically, I've become less and less prone to telling people the whole truth about how things are going (if things are not going well, at least). Frankly, sometimes I wish I could be invisible!

If I could have any superpower, it would be invisibility.....but mostly so I could overhear other peoples conversations.....is that bad?? :sorry:
I have totally thought that before. ^_^

I have felt that way before, although generally I don't anymore. It's a bad feeling, I know. Sorry you are going through that.

That's funny ^_^

It seems that there are times when you wish you were invisible, and times when you wish you weren't.

So true.

Just like those other times where you wish you came equipped with a sleek, compact fold-up design for easy storage feature...

Here I feel no pressure. I come and go as I please and there are always topics to respond to.
In real life it can be harder to be around certain people having certain conversations.
Here you can just start talking whenever, wherever.
In real life you can't always go up to just anyone and start talking as if you know them.
I feel that my past actions have made it harder for me. When you are a quiet person, people get use to overlooking you.
But then you just have to decide that you will move past the past and talk to those who will listen and listen to those who will talk.

Cuz I do, and I really don't like it. I feel like I could stand on the rooftop yelling at the top of my lungs and no one would hear me. My random thought for the day.

wish i was sometimes. seems like anymore, everything i say, everything i do can and does have such an effect over someone, i don't like that kind of control over one's life. there's beauty to it, but there's also a condemnation over it and sometimes it'd be nice to be invisible. sure no one would hear or care about me, but then again, then that means i'd be free of the responsibility of either blessing or ruining someone's life because of my words or actions.

haha word.
Peace out to the mountains... that is pretty invisible.

You just gave me a major case of deja vu....

I love mountains, they're beautiful. I went to New Mexico probably about a year ago, and fell in love.

If only my part of Oklahoma wasn't so flat! It's bad enough that we're landlocked.

Mkay, I'm done whining now.

EDIT: haha, whoops, wrong thread!

But I thought of something else that I'm passionate about, I really love to run. I don't really live in a good area to do it in, I've been trying to puzzle out ways I can go, since I'd much rather do it outside.

Yeah I know all about being land locked, I am from Idaho. Haha. I recently moved to LA for schooling and the problem with this place it is so crowded. If you guys want to truly feel alright get OUT!!! go somewhere that has lots of space. Anywhere in Idaho will do, haha. But really go on a road trip, just drive, spend time with God. It is amazing what a relationship that is strong with Christ will do for a persons selfworth.

and it isn't whining.
I encourage everyone to truly feel their hearts when they are sitting alone. Many people want to have compliments given to them because they have low self-esteem. I have realized that the more you sacrifice of yourself the better you feel. Go get out, go volunteer at the homeless shelter or find a homeless and give them a sack lunch, or maybe even stop and give a ride to the person broken down on the side of the road. If I have noticed anything down here in California it is the fact that people like to insulate themselves. They love to be invisible until they want to be seen. It is far easier to but visible and become invisible... you don't ever have to go home you know.
