CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I used to feel invisible. My best friend saw a picture of me from highschool, and she said; "I knew you since freshman year but I wasn't your friend untill Senior year because I just couldn't get over how you looked. You were just so nerdy." I really was the girl who wasn't there in high school.

All the time IRL. But only when I'm quiet I guess. If I get to know people then I can find myself in the center. Prolly has to do with how much you talk or how long you've known the people.

however there are other times, quite often actually where I WISH I was invisible, but to no avail.
If I could have any superpower, it would be invisibility.....but mostly so I could overhear other peoples conversations.....is that bad??

Sometimes I wish I could be invisble for a week. I want to go somewhere with no phones, no people needing things from me, no deadlines or due dates.
And preferably being served fruity alcoholic beverages by people who don't talk to me.
Then I realize that if I don't do it all, it doesn't get done. I'll just file that away on my invisible shelf of fantasies that I'm really hoping actually come true one day.
Invisibility is in the eye of the beholder.

Yeah all the time, especially on here. But IRL too especially when it comes to getting any kind of service in a restaurant or shop.

I have felt this throughout my life. It's amazing how you can feel alone even in the midst of a huge crowd.

I never feel invisible I guess because I'm kinda talkative and very approachable so yeah.. people tend to notice me pretty quickly..
The thing about these forums is that some people have stronger "voices" then others. I have a pretty distinct voice. If I posted and my name was hidden I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be able to determine who I am.
People with subtle voices like yourself and who kinda blend into the background lend themselves to the term "invisible" unless they go out of their way to be more noticeable. I think it applies to more people than you'd imagine though.
