Because all through the bible the fact that God formed us as a deliberate one time act is clear.
Ps 119:73 - Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
"In
Genesis 1:27 we are told that God created man. The verb to create is the Hebrew
bara. In
Genesis 2:7 the Bible says God formed man (Hebrew
asah). Since both of these verses speak of God creating man, we find that man was both created and formed. God created Adam by using pre-existing material. The
word translated form is used in Scripture of the work of a potter forming his clay. "
How Was Adam Created?
It seems a very good way for God to have designed a universe to operate. Something seems to be driving it but we seem to be doing our best to destroy it, by disobedience to God and failure to tend and keep it.
Man can't destroy the universe, relax.
Evolution is not magic, and neither is creation. Why can't evolution be creative, controlled by God who is invisible, immortal, omnipotent and immutable.
Why can't a vase form itself over great time?
God has no hands, (anthropomorphism is a form of idolatry), and did not get 'His' spirit hands dirty, making a man from mud pies, somewhere on earth a long time ago.
He has holes in His hands as we speak actually.
Why is it necessary for you to reduce the highly spiritual narrative of Genesis Chapters 2-5 to mundane and literal historical facts, and thereby totally fail to understand the message received from God by the author.
Better to believe what God says, and the prophets and apostles and holy men of God through ages, than to ADD flights of godless fancy to Scripture I would think.
Do you read everything 'literally' and render every literary device used by every biblical author into strictly historical narrative? Do you then think "I know what that means now, so I don't have to study it any further to see what its saying about me and my relationship with God.
The creation of all things was not about you actually. We can include you, but it is not all about you or your supposed relationship with some god that can't create His way out of a paper bag.
I hope you don't, because you will never understand the many parables and stories in both old and new testaments, and Revelation will be utterly incomprehensible to you.

To get deeper meanings we first need to get the actual meanings.
