As I’ve mentioned before, my dad died of pancreatic cancer about 37 years ago and I saw how much he suffered. Being that sick and knowing what’s ahead would be terrifying for me. Just the thought of it terrifies me even now. And it seemed unbearable for him at the end, but he fought it bravely anyway.
What happens to a Catholic who chooses to be euthanized rather than suffer from that or some other horrible disease? Hell? What if a person is sorry for doing it but does it anyway? Or the person who plans ahead of a terminate diagnosis, but plans that IFthey were ever diagnosed with a terminal illness they woul do this? Hell?
I know Jesus suffered horribly and He knew what he was going to have to suffer through, so no need to remind me of that.
