  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Breakfast in the UK is not very good. It's worth a try a few times just to try ethnic food, but...blood pudding and haggis. Bleh.

I find Scandinavian breakfast AWESOME, but quite different from American. Think herring, onions, and capers. If they were trying to be easy on the stomach, they failed miserably.

I had an ex whom when she was growing up, they had a family recipe they called "daddy eggs". Apparently, her household didn't know any Spanish...if you brought that up with someone who knows a little Spanish, that brings...slightly different imagery to mind.
Fish for breakfast sounds good!

Not allowed for Christians.

Per Acts 15.20, we are to avoid meat that is strangled (which cannot be properly drained of blood) and from ingesting blood.

That's going to be news to the 10s of millions of Christians in Europe, Asia and Latin America who all have their own national and regional variation.
(They get the blood by draining during the slaughtering process so it's not an issue.)

Huevos Rancheros--at any time. But that goes for anything Mexican--or just plain hot, no matter the nationality!
I do think it's just that most people don't associate most ethnic cuisines with breakfast, but for some reason, people are very aware of Mexican breakfast dishes like huevos rancheros.

I can't believe no one has mentioned migas or menudo. Those are truly authentic Mexican breakfast fare.

I had a breakfast smorgesbord in Norway. It was fantastic.

I was a cook in a bar and used to make calf fries. They were disgusting to prepare.

Love migas---but never could stand menudo! I know, I have to duck when I say that about menudo! I can't even stand the smell of it!

but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood

Migas sounds delicious. But I think it illustrates my point. Americans as a whole aren't familiar with international breakfast customs and meals.

Regional chain Rosa's Cafe serves migas tacos and they're delicious. They also serve migas bowls, but I've never tried one.
Rosas Cafe

And to demonstrate your point further, while more Americans are becoming aware of Phở most of us are not aware that it's a breakfast staple in Vietnam.
