Ask yourself, what crime - humanly speaking - could a human being commit that would warrant eternal punishment involving the discomfort of fire and torments of some kind?

Well according to Jesus Christ of Nazareth the rich man walked by Lazarus everyday with no desire to help him. This resulted in separation from God.Ask yourself, what crime - humanly speaking - could a human being commit that would warrant eternal punishment involving the discomfort of fire and torments of some kind?
Unbelief gets one there and that is the unforgivable sin. Sinning until death.-
Amazing how many probably 85% to 90% of people in the christian religion. Focus on sin as the reason a person ends up in the lake of fire. Even in light of crystal clear verses that state Jesus has taken away the sin of the whole world for unbelievers and believers.
Sin is not the reason a person ends up in the lake of fire!
Either Jesus perfectly took away every sin ever committed by man. or He took away no sins at all.Unbelief gets one there and that is the unforgivable sin. Sinning until death.
Blessings.
Universalism?Either Jesus perfectly took away every sin ever committed by man. or He took away no sins at all.
Would you punish the rich man with eternal fire? I was asking for human judgement of human crimes.Well according to Jesus Christ of Nazareth the rich man walked by Lazarus everyday with no desire to help him. This resulted in separation from God.

Luke 16:19–31
Or he took away all the sins of those alone, to whom he chose to show mercy.Either Jesus perfectly took away every sin ever committed by man. or He took away no sins at all.

Sin is primarily, and that by an infinite degree, against God. And the least significant sin is 'cosmic treason'.-

So we are in agreement, no belief,no Spirit, therefore, no Kingdom of God.Not even close to universalism, because the reason a person ends up in the lake of fire is they never received the life of God
I am satisfied with a life sentence in prison for heinous crimes. Gives one a chance to repent.Would you punish the rich man with eternal fire? I was asking for human judgement of human crimes.
I do not word it that way no belief in Jesus, no receiving of God's free gift of Eternal Life.So we are in agreement, no belief,no Spirit, therefore, no Kingdom of God.
Blessings.
nothing that man can do -- merits infinite torture.Ask yourself, what crime - humanly speaking - could a human being commit that would warrant eternal punishment involving the discomfort of fire and torments of some kind?
In Matt 7 Jesus says "the many" perish and only "the few" get to eternal life.Nope The Bible is clear Jesus has taken away all sin, unbelievers and believers.
I don't see how that addresses the question in the OPThere is no crime that could be greater than God's ability to forgive and repair. That's how Powerful and Glorious God is.
Rom 6:23 "the wages of sin is death" - not "eternal life'-
