One should pray and seek and be open to His Word involving all doctrines in His Word.
Sadly, most just follow the scholars, and the so-called verifiable sources, etcetera.

In my previous post I said that in the 1906 Jewish Encyclopedia the Jewish authors documented that before and during the time of Jesus there was a significant belief in a place of eternal, fiery punishment which the Jews called both "sheol" and "Ge hinnom," which were translated as "hades" and "Gehenna" in the 225 B.C. septuagint/LXX and the N.T . The source also equated sheol/hades and Ge Hinnom/gehenna with hell 22 times. So "hell" is a valid translation of the original languages.
