I appreciate his willingness to state his beliefs.
The question is the degree to which his views will be infused to the site.

I think it is hard to say LDS is a cult and then to read their rules in their forum and not be concerned that they have opened a LDS safe haven to recruit. And if their rules are upheld, nothing can be done to counter their proselytizing within their walls.

Yeah, am interested to see what will be done with the LDS and JW forums. Curious to see what he'll do about Refuge and altering the site's central tenet, too.

Maybe I was just clueless as to the situation before, but I had considered CF a ministry...a not for profit. My opinion of ministries that are for profit is...well, extremely predictable...

That Erwin joined Leed's "earnersforum" last year prevents me from believing that Erwin didn't have eventual sale/increased revenue on his mind with the recent changes...getting things "set" with his stockpiled legitimacy so a newcomer wouldn't bear that burden (and lose many more members than Erwin did)...

I'm just not feeling this...and I wouldn't expect any recent changes to be undone, except for possibly the name going back to CF (which is too good a domain name to waste as a redirect...).

If a person became site supporter recently, that person should be wondering "for what good?"

Actually, I knew Lee from bigboardadmins.com (I think that's the domain name) which Lee owns (since this site is considerd a big board and that site helps admins such as us manage such large sites in relation to hardware and software) and when Lee started earnersforums.com I joined it as an admin to help him start it off - I didn't stay as an admin there for very long, maybe 2 months, before I quit due to lack of time. The intention as a member of that site was never to increase revenue - I haven't posted there for months if not years. Also, I really didn't plan this sale to occur at this time. Just wanted to make that clear.

I agree. I am a member of several secular message boards does not make me a bad Christian.

Erwin may have, from selflessly .... giving his All during the past 6 yrs.,
felt exhausted/burnt-out. (btw, I know exactly from IRL-experiences, what both feel like).
But just because Erwin "turned Forums, over to LeeD", is
no where's near the same thing as saying 'Dumps'.

I am glad, Erwin is taking a well-deserved Rest. My heart goes out to him.
He worked soo diligently, Birthing his vision, and giving people what they want.
May GOD Bless Erwin with his soul's most heavenly desires...

Wow, thanks for the encouraging words. I didn't dump the site on Lee although by now he may feel that I have. Lee I believe will be able to do what I cannot, which is to spend more time and resources on the site to make it better for all members.
