Erdogan v Trump

Erdogan seems to be leading his country to ruin in his current battle with Trump. The countries currency is plumenting which is a major issue cause much of the countries debt is external and so many Turkish companies could go bankrupt as a result.

This is surely though one of these moments when even liberals could be thankful for a Trump White house

1) An Islamist Turkey is in noones interest.
2) Turkeys treatment of the Kurds is wrong
3) Turkey is no help as a NATO ally
4) Turkey is anti Israel
5) Turkey has helped prolong the war in Syria
6) The imprisonment of Andrew Brunson ( conservative Evangelical pastor) is a traversty
7) Erdogan is a delusional dictator who brooks no opposition. He believes the Armenian genocide did not happen

It takes a special kind of leader to cause the kinds of problems that Erdogan has caused for Turkey.
I've often thought that term limits are undesireable, but this makes a good case for having those limits.
Guys like this come in with good ideas, they make reforms that lead to growth and prosperity, and then they need to be gone before they inevitabley start thinking they're the next Simon Bolivar, Suleiman I, or what have you, and acting like jackasses.
