What we learned:

Rachel did not used to be a man. (LOL)
You need to be tranquilized to get to the island.
The last part of the trip is on a sub.
Something about the trip makes you unable to speak for a while.
"Time flies" on the island.
Ben was married or otherwise involved with a woman.
She died from pregnancy.
Her name was {Sabrina?? anyone catch it?}
All the pregnant women die on the island.
Except Danielle. And Claire. And so far, Sun.
Juliet was brought to the island to find out why.
She feels she's done all she can.
No one on the island gets cancer.
Ben / Jacob can cure cancer.
Ben got cancer.
Ben is probably lying about the fact that no one on the island gets cancer (Juliet told him he had a tumor, he corrected it to cancer)
Ben / Jacob cured Rachel's cancer.
Juliet was doing the nasty with Goodwin.
Mikhail was a communications expert.
Richard provided images of Rachel and her two-year old son Julian.
Ben then told Richard to "hurry up and get back here."
Is Richard on the island? Has he been? Can he be when he wants to be?
Ethan wasn't supposed to kidnap Claire.
They didn't explain why they tried to hang Charlie!
Or why they kidnapped him with Claire!
They implanted something into Claire.
They can activate it remotely despite all their com going down after the EMP.
Juliet is a plant.
She's to stay at camp for a week then meet up with Ben again.

I know I'm forgetting stuff. This episode was jam-packed full of information. Need to watch it again.

Will Kate and Sawyer have a real romance or will Sawyer self distruct?

Where is Michael in all this?

What about Desmond, can he not tell them the truth about Juliette?

Is Rachel really alive?

How about the diamond theives do they "wake" up? (Why did Desmond not know about the spiders?)

I hope Lost is not going the way of 24--just week to week plots, forgetting what they built... :(

Sawyer was starting to act like a leader. He eagerly gave Claire medication. Then he sees his status crash in a second when Jack shows up. Will there be a battle between Jack and Sawyer over who is really in charge of the camp?

I don't think Desmond knows about Juliet or the Others. I think he just stumbled onto the island and the Swan hatch and was dumped into the job of pushing the button. But I don't think he knows anything about Others on the island.

How about the diamond theives do they "wake" up? (Why did Desmond not know about the spiders?)

Nikki and Paulo are dead, it's been confirmed by CC and DL. Same reason on Desmond, I don't think he's been out of the hatch long enough to know about the spiders.

Now, his psychic flashes might tell him something about Juliet. The preview for next week either went by really fast, or I was still very distracted from the episode, but I think Des mentioned his flashes in the preview.

I was confused by the preview. Was it all about next week? Or was it bits and pieces of the remaining episodes up to the finale?

Probably? They were probably able to watch him on the monitors. Odd that we didn't see any kind of reaction from Juliet when she saw him, though.

Yeah I was confused about that too, especially since they talked about there being just 5 new episodes until the two-part season finale.

that is true, the producers stated that Locke will not be seen for the next 4 or so episodes
I got the impression from the preview that the Locke scene was from the final episode. It just had that climatic feel to it.

That is my feeling too. As well as Sawyer saying "Finish it" in the previews. There seems to be something going on between Locke and Sawyer.

I hope so, it definitely feels like they're setting that up.

Same guy. But wasn't he also in the operating room in the beginning? I thought Ethan was the only doctor on the island. So what was Goodwin?

Ben said Ethan was their surgeon, he never said their only doctor.

Another thought - we don't know for sure Rachel's cancer came back. They could have faked it, and then there'd be no need to cure her. It would still serve their purpose of controlling Juliet.

From Lostpedia

At the very end when Juliet is tying a knot to make her tent, the #8 appears in the rope.

The painting in The Staff in the fertility surgery flashback is by artist Georgia O'Keefe, who is known for paintings of flowers as yonic (female genitalia) symbols. The painting is O'Keefe's 1923 "Grey Line with Black, Blue and Yellow"

  • Why was Juliet kept unconscious on the journey to the The Island?
  • Did the baby survive the surgery after Sabine died on the operating table?
  • Why is Juliet infiltrating the survivors?
  • Will the medicine that Juliet gave Claire have side effects later on?
  • Was the injection given to Claire truly a medicine or a placebo?
  • What is the nature of Claire's implant?
  • How is Claire's implant controlled by The Others?
  • Does anyone besides Claire have an implant?
  • When and why did the problem with pregnancy on the island begin?
  • Was Rachel (Juliet's sister) ever brought to the island?
  • Did Rachel (Juliet's sister) really have cancer?
  • How was Jacob able to cure Rachel (Juliet's sister)'s cancer?
  • How did the Others know that Sawyer killed Frank Duckett?
  • Is Juliet's theory correct that the medical complications with pregnancies on the Island only occur if the baby was actually conceived on the Island?
  • What are the implications to Sun's pregnancy of the medical problems associated with living on the island?
  • Rousseau gave birth to Alex on the Island - what are the implications?
  • Are the island's healing properties to blame for the failure of on-island pregnancies?
  • Why do the Others seem to be entirely focused on reproductive research?
  • What do the Others hope to accomplish by using Juliet to infiltrate the Losties camp?
  • Did Ben know he had cancer before Juliet told him?

Ok so I just had a thought about the whole time being different on/off the island.

So Juliette saw a live feed of her sister in Miami correct?? Well assuming the island is somewhere in the pacific, near australia, shouldn't it have been night time??? But it appears that it was daylight in both areas....

Thoughts?
