This country. This society. This civilization. This foundation in which all of us here are laid on top of, whether we mean to or not, is futile. Futile in it's attempt to control mankind, foolish in its attempts to protect man from man, and utterly stupid, to be plainly put.

Why do we put so much faith in it? Why is it that mankind tries to put the world into an understandable ball? Do people truly believe that this society is something that is strong?
It is not. It is simply a smoke screen, a filter, one that is always on the verge of collapsing and our nation, the people, falling into an age of electronic barbarism. A world in which the strong wipe out the weak and those who are unable to carry on are left behind.

Can we consciously believe that we can stop nature from taking place? That we can restrain the flood of rage, death, sadness, and the cessation of what we hold dear? Can political theory save it? Can humanitarian effort save it?

The sad but historic answer is no. Rome fell. Athens fell. Troy fell. The Chinese Empire fell. The British Empire fell. The Japanese fell. The Huns fell. The Third Reich fell. The Egyptians fell. The Israelites fell.

And as all of these have fallen, so will America. Because despite the effort of men, and the deaths of unspeakable numbers, nature will take its toll. Because we have tried the untriable and it shall be revenged. We have tamed the earth, but it will break from its cage. I can only pray I am gone when it happens.

Deep thoughts there Job_38. We do have hope though. Through the travesties our world, societies, countries, etc.....experience everyday, there is hope in Christ. We are fallen people, however it is through Christ's sacrifice on the cross that we are redeemed. We need to have hope in HIM! :) And while we are on this earth, we need to continue to carry out what Christ has exhorted us to do, which is to fullfill the Great Commission cf: Matt. 28:18-20, love God and love people. :)

Wherever you look, anywhere in the world, at any time in history you can see evil. It can be frustrating looking around you and everything seems fraught with corruption, everyone seems to be moving away from God, and the things we as Christians hold most dear. However, I believe the truth is that the goodness of God, and the hope, is also evident everywhere, and in everything. We must never turn a blind eye to the evil and corruption we see, but I believe we must not make it our focus either. By making faith, hope, and love our focus we will be a light in the dark which shows the dark for what it is just the same as pessimism, just substituting hope for hopelessness.

God Bless. Bill

It is God and Him only we need to have faith in. And not the things of the world. We need not fear what will take place in this world.

Psalms 91: 5-10
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

I realy like the photo Job! looks like God is giving it a nice burrial lol! makes me think of this scripture...

Matthew 6:19-21
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
