Is your faith growing? Does your faith branch and flower inthe truth and spirit of the Lord? Does your faith have its roots in the Word?
Now in contrast....
Is your faith dying? Does your faith branch out over the fence that the Lord has constructed? Does your faith have its roots where they ought not to be?
Isaiah 11:1
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
Now Ezekiel prophecies about the other...
Ezekiel 17:6
and it sprouted and became a low, spreading vine. Its branches turned toward him, but its roots remained under it. So it became a vine and produced branches and put out leafy boughs.
Ezekiel 17:7
" 'But there was another great eagle with powerful wings and full plumage. The vine now sent out its roots toward him from the plot where it was planted and stretched out its branches to him for water.
Ezekiel 19:12
But it was uprooted in fury and thrown to the ground. The east wind made it shrivel, it was stripped of its fruit; its strong branches withered and fire consumed them.
Malachi 4:1
"Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and that day that is coming will set them on fire," says the LORD Almighty. "Not a root or a branch will be left to them.
Your faith must have its root and branches in the right place to receive the nourishment it needs. Jesus is your gardener. Let He who knows all truth plant it in your heart.
Romans 11:16
If the part of the dough offered as firstfruits is holy, then the whole batch is holy; if the root is holy, so are the branches.
Romans 11:17
If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root,
Romans 11:18
do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
Where are your roots?
