It is a re-living of the sacrifice of Christ. So it is both a sacrifice and not a sacrifice. You'll often hear it both ways. If that helps. Paul identifies it as a sacrifice by comparing it to both the sacrifices of Israel and pagan sacrifices at 1 Cor 10:18-21. The Church Fathers also refer to it as a sacrifice.

I personally refer to it as the Eucharist and leave it at that.

it is participating in time in the one sacrifice of Christ on the Cross, which is eternal. we become on flesh with the Flesh that was sacrificed and offered.
