Enslaved

[Opethian]

What do people here think of Enslaved (the progressive black metal band, or viking metal as they like to call themselves)?
I think they have gone through an awesome evolution throughout their career and their latest album Ruun is a grand product of that evolution. Rarely have I encountered a band that can so beautifully weave many different emotions throughout their music. They are like the black metal/psychadelic side where Opeth is the death metal/progressive side.

I picked up Ruun on a whim a few months ago and ended up loving it, they're a very unique band I think. Now I also have Isa and Below The Lights & I need to hear some of their earlier stuff too. Any recommendations?!!

I really like them! They do remind me a lot of Opeth. I like the album ISA a lot, and their atmospheres they create with their music are really nice.
