  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Book of Enoch.
Worth studying seriously?

Secrets of the Book of Enoch.

1. Son of Man named and revealed, even before time, sun, moon, star.

2. And it said sinners would be dragged off to Hell.. before time, sun, moon, stars where even created.

3. Orbital paths, equinoxes, six portals revealed. Constellations and workings of Heaven, understanding of seasons, phases of the moon, years, days, hours described.

4. Talks of Heaven, Hell, Paradise, Tree of Life. And Angels and Angelical hosts.

5. Enoch perfectly describes a black hole. And that black holes are the holding cell for fallen stars.

6. Enoch describes fallen angels mating with humans, creating Nephilium. Literal Giants, half-breeds.
He also describes dinosaurs.

Get you to thinking about what all is out there, waiting for Christians to discover. The most powerful Word from God are those that arent preached.
But, you also have to ponder why the occult and the freemasons use this book in their rituals. And the knowledge it provides.

Any thoughts?

I can see why the Freemasons and the occult use this book. Check out part of Chapter 9:

Thou seest what Azazel hath done, who hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and revealed the eternal secrets which were (preserved) in heaven, which 7 men were striving to learn

There is an implication here that God has been holding back "secrets" from mankind. Remember Satan's original temptation?

Genesis 3:5 "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Satan was not-so-subtly suggesting that God was afraid that they would become like Him. That, Satan suggested, was why God did not want them to eat of the tree. If they did eat it, then they would be like God, which God did not want because God is selfish and cannot be trusted. That was Satan's claim.

We know now exactly why God told us not to eat from that tree. He wanted us to trust him, not to hold back knowledge from us. Amos 3:7 states, Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets. Even now, in our fallen condition, God has not held back anything from us.

The occult world sees things differently. To them, Satan is their savior. Through him, all of the knowledge that God was selfishly holding back from us (so they claim) was released. They clearly state that we are better off in our fallen state than if we had trusted God from the beginning. Through this fall, we too can become like God. Simply put, God lied to us.

From reading this section, I'd say that this book does a pretty good job of promoting that view. I haven't taken the time to read the whole thing yet, but I'm sure there's more in there.

EDIT: Oh yeah, it's definitely in there. From the same chapter:

And Thou knowest all things before they come to pass, and Thou seest these things and Thou dost suffer them, and Thou dost not say to us what we are to do to them in regard to these.' - The angels having to petition God to do good.

From Chapter 10:

And the whole earth has been corrupted 9 through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin. - Azazel responsible for sin instead of Satan

And all the children of men shall become righteous - Universal salvation, it seems. No mention is made of any human suffering judgment, only the angels and their offspring.

There are numerous other errors, but that would take way too long to list from what I've been reading so far. Suffice to say that I'm glad that this is not in the Bible!

EDIT #2: Ok, Universal salvation is out. Chapter 22 says quite clearly about a judgment of the righteous and wicked.

EDIT #3: I guess Satan doesn't have to be called Satan specifically. But it is still strange that he is portrayed as the one who gave mankind knowledge.

So kinda like this is knowledge only God can reveal? Like the tree. We cant take it ourselves but only through Him.

And about the secrets, we will never know everything that is out there. Not that we cant learn... just we cannot understand it. And if we knew everything, we wouldnt need to look to God for guidance. We wouldnt need to trust in His plan.. because we would already know it.

I agree that God has not revealed everything to us. John 21:25 makes it plain that not everything is in the Bible. According to John 20:31, its real purpose is to reveal Jesus so we can be saved. If He gave us all the knowledge that is out there, then either we would get so lost in it and forget about the real purpose of Jesus being here, or our heads would explode from the magnitude of it.

What I'm trying to say though is the occult believe that God is holding us back from a higher purpose by saying to obey him. They believe that through eating that fruit, the way is open for us to be gods ourselves through knowledge. That's their great "secret". And it's odd how this book says that Azazel revealed eternal secrets that men were striving to learn. What were those eternal secrets?

Something just really seems to be fishy with this book. There is things in here that are clearly against the Bible. Chapter 25 talks about 7 holy mountains, and that God will come to earth and sit on one. Meanwhile, Revelation 17 talks about a great harlot who sits on 7 mountains and commits fornication with the kings of the earth. No mention is made anywhere in there of God sitting on any mountains but instead in the New Jerusalem. I'm reading through this book and all kinds of alarm bells are going off, and I've learned to trust them.

You have got to be kidding me. From Chapter 32:

And I came to the Garden of Righteousness, 3 I and from afar off trees more numerous than I these trees and great-two trees there, very great, beautiful, and glorious, and magnificent, and the tree of knowledge, whose holy fruit they eat and know great wisdom.

Totally occult. Totally.

EDIT: The worst part is that I keep having to amend my posts to encompass the full scale of it. A few sentences later it says about the aforementioned tree:

Then Raphael the holy angel, who was with me, answered me and said: 'This is the tree of wisdom, of which thy father old (in years) and thy aged mother, who were before thee, have eaten, and they learnt wisdom and their eyes were opened, and they knew that they were naked and they were driven out of the garden.'

I hope that this is enough to convince you that this book is not worth your time. Stick with the Bible.

Yeah your probably right. That is pretty fishy..

I find it weird though that the only verse in the Bible about enoch said
"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." (Hebrews 11:5 KJV)

So apparently he was doing something right.

But yeah, Bible is the most important thing. And the Book of Enoch is not in the Bible for a reason.
