this may not be the right section to put this in. sorry if its not but i have two Questions to ask.

1. Can satan literally steal your soul even though we as Christians and followers of Jesus Christ? (this is not really a end times question just thought i would ask this anyway)

2. if Jesus Christ is so powerful and all mighty and all knowning why doesn't he stop the End Times all together before it even begans to start all the way (so everybody in this world dosen't have to face it)?

granted i am pretty scared and worried about the End Times and the book of Revelations(even though before i have said that i wasn't)

No, satan cannot steal your spirit. Thats hollywood. Your soul is your mind ,emotions, and will.
Romans 8
38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[1] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The end times HAS TO HAPPEN because of the "falling away".
2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

If your saved, than before the tribulation (end times) start, you will be caught up in the air(raptured) when jesus comes back from heaven to take his church(believers) to heaven.
im excited:clap:
God Bless

There are so many different interpretations of the end-times, you will get several answers on the identity of the "son of perdition" or antiChrist, but many think that this is a political leader who will have great power and bring peace to the MiddleEast and eventually tricking Israel and the world into a false peace that will last only a short period of time before a great war begins. Once the attack begins on Israel and Jerusalem is in jeopardy of being under foreign control again, the Lord will appear in the air with His ten thousands - His Saints and establish His Kingdom on earth that will last in peace for 1000 years.
Those that belong to Jesus are protected from God's wrath, as Noah was warned and prepared for the flood with God's directions.

Jude 1:14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

Col.3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Well satan cannot steal you're soul if you're a christian you are protected by the spirit and the father and the son. Unless you sale you're soul and that is pretty bad. Why does jesus have to do this becuase he has to show the world that he is kings of kings and lords of lords and to get aplace ready for his followers. Only reason you might be scared is becuase you know you are missing the love of christ and remember it is never to late becuase all the followers will be takin up before the tribulation occurs. ;)

Isn't the rapture a theory with a few verses supportinh it, or is it a proven thing in the bible?

1 Thessalonians 4: 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air(rapture): and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Also with that question about the reltation well some people belive there will be a rapture others belive all the christens will be just out of it nothing will happen to Christens. God is doing this so more people will see him and belive so he can get as many peple as posible to become christians you can see he is given them alot of chances to belive so please don't be scared I recomend a series of books they are called" Left Behind" there is a kids vertion and a adult version the kids will explan more about it. They even explain about the horsemen and that may calm your fears:hug:

I'm afraid to say that the 'Left Behind' theory of end times is not biblical. It would be a nice escape for current Christians but the Bible does not support it. While the end times is scary we know that we be with God for eternity.

Luke 12:4-6

"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot do anything worse afterwards. I tell you whom you should fear; fear God who, after killing, has the authority to throw into Hell. Believe me, God is one you must fear."

oh really?

THE RAPTURE IS BEFORE THE TRIBULATION, AND I WILL SOME IT UP IN TWO VERSE `S OK. IN JOHN 14-16 WE ARE TOLD THAT WE WILL BE GIVEN THE HOLY SPIRIT FOREVER, IN EHP 1-13 AND 14 WELL YOU SHOULD KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT BY NOW, SO IN THESSALONIANS 2- IT IS CLEAR IT IS TALKING ABOUT THE RAPTURE OR TO SAY THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD IN VERSE 1 , BUT IN VERSE 7 IT USES THE GREEK WORD HE, AND THAT TRANSLATES THE HOLY ONE OR TO SAY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, SO IF WE STUDY THE WORD OF GOD YOU WILL FIND AS I SAID IN JOHN 14-16 AND EHP 1-13-14 THAT WE HAVE BEEN PROMISED GODS HOLY SPIRIT FOR EVER. IN EHP 1-13 -14 THAT IS WHAT THE WORD SEALED MEANS, AND IN 2-THESS. IT CLEARLY TELLS US THAT BEFORE SATAN THE SON OF PERDITION VERSE 3, CAN TAKE OVER AFTER JESUS HAS COME BACK GODS SPIRIT MUST BE TAKEN OUT OF THIS WORLD AND IF JESUS DID NOT LIE TO US IN JOHN 14-16 AND EHP 1-13-14 THEN WHEN GODS HOLY SPIRIT GOES WE GO.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Nicley taken out of context. Luke 12:4-6 does not apply to Christians, for a saved person CANNOT go to hell. ONE who dies without Jesus is cast into hell. (look up hebrews 9:27)

In john 6:37, Jesus said for any reason he will not cast us out.

John 10
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Shawn,

If you feel so strongly about this then go to the Eschatology forum. There are people there who have studied it in detail and you can see what people think but the post tribulation idea is most definitely biblical.

The quote I used wasn't meant for any other reason than to say that believing in the pre trib idea is pointless. The main popularity in the pre trib idea is that it keeps us safe from any harm. However, if we keep our focus and reverence on God anything the world can throw at us won't phase us.

The end times is important, especially with a belief like that of pre trib because if it doesn't occur you have to go through the tribulation. So, it's better to be prepared.

There is no "rapture."

There is going to be a second coming. Not two second comings. One second coming. Sorry for all you people who think you will be spared the pain and suffering...

It's not going to go like that.

The pre-tribulation rapture was invented like 200 years ago. For the first 1,800 years of our religion, it has always been amillenial.

According to the way it was written, it had to have happened less than 100 years after the writing of the letter. It was fulfilled, just not in the way that we might recognize or understand.

Actually, 60 would be a better number I think. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:15 very closely.

According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

I guess I am not seeing the same thing you are, yes it does say we will be here till the coming of the LORD and the dead will proceed us, but the next verse goes on to say the dead first then the living and we will meet Him in the clouds. If He is coming here, why are we meeting him in the sky?
