This is a tough one.
I HATE rap/hip-hop music. I REALLY can't stand hearing every other word a swear word and glorification of illegal drugs and, worse, gang activity (I use that to encompass any number of illegal activities associated with gangs), which is VERY prevalent in this style of music. I don't care if it happens in the real world...making it sound as though it's a good thing, which hip-hop does, is WRONG. Not as much in Eminem's work, as he didn't grow up in the 'hood...he is more "old style." Nevertheless, his lyrical material leaves a lot to be desired.
HOWEVER, I always tend to give people props where they're due. In my opinion, Eminem and Snoop are a couple of the most talented artists of our time. If I were forced to choose rappers to listen to, it would be these guys. That being said, if ALL you listen to is rap/hip-hop, you are GOING TO BE affected if you are not VERY mature spiritually.
My advice would be to give Eminem about 1% of your personal air-time, and load up on stuff that is quite a bit more tame, if not down right uplifting.
