  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I really, really want an embriodery machine. *drools* I do a lot of costuming. At the moment I'm hand painting a japanese looking Obi that has lots of leaves and flowers on it. It would be so much easier if I had an embriodery machine. ^_^ This is going to take me ages. >_< But I figure painting is faster than hand-embriodering. =P

 Hello, Friends!

I have an embroidery machine, a Brother pace-setter (that was what I could afford). I really, really love it! (I know Viking & Pfaff are highly rated, but my Brother seems to be consistent and reliable with everything I've tried.)

Things I make? Yes, gifts; I've crafted collars for little girls dresses; fancy pockets for little boys' pants; designs on small gift pouches; fancy stitching on table rushes.

Problem: We moved and I've misplaced the embroidery "hoop". I have the mechanism to set the hoop into, but without the hoop I'm stuck! cb
