  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Matthew 11:14 is Jesus Christ speaking about himself, Not John !!
So, let me get this straight. Jesus is talking on and on about John, but then in the middle suddenly stops talking about John, does a complete one-eighty, and actually is speaking about himself in the third person?? Then in Matthew 17:12, he is really talking about himself in the third person and his own death in the past tense only then to repeat the statement about himself only to recast his death in the future tense, almost as if to deliberately mislead his listeners?

I can help you with your lack of knowledge in this spiritual area.
I don't know, dude. I always thought the Magic Bullet theory was a stretch, but this is like the Magic Scripture theory. I think I'll take my chances with my possible ignorance here, and agree with the understanding of the disciples.
