A Colorado clerk gets a 9 year sentence, for tampering with the
2020 election system.

She was a promoter of conspiracy theories, and a denier that Biden
won the election.

She compromised the security of the election data, by sharing passwords
that should not have been shared. In this way, she allowed the election data machines
to potentially be hacked.

In one Ohio county, an organization connected to the denial of the 2020
presidential election, is advocating for purging the county's official voter list.

While there is not anything necessarily wrong with this, the removal of a name
from the official list of registered voters, has got to follow federal guidelines.

And, these regular voting list updates should have been done long before
an upcoming presidential election.

Note that voting rights advocates, are opposing the move the remove
names (now) from the official list of voters in the county.

Investigations into voting fraud have turned up VERY FEW cases.
There are not enough, to change the outcome of elections.

“States have very effective protections in place to prevent and detect voter fraud,” Clapman said. “And then it is always important to be reminded that the penalty for voter fraud is enormous.”

For a number of years now, America's security agencies have rated home-grown
American terrorist organizations as more of a threat, than foreign terrorist
organizations (to America).

The number of lies that are being spread about the American voting system,
has grown to such a number, that the integrity of the system is threatened
by the perpetuation of lies.

Liz Cheney is not certain that Mike Johnson (whose responsibility it it to
verify the outsome of a presidential election), will do that IF Harris wins
the election.

Note that there are also (read below, in the next article on the same pointer
page) some Democrats who would not want to validate a Trump win, becasue
of Trump's radical rhetoric.

The problem with Trump's rhetoric, is that you cannot say that the American
election system is completely safe and accurate (if Trump should win), but
completely corrupt and fraudulent (if Harris wins). THIS is the sort of ludicrous
language that Trump has often used.

Trump's language is NOT building faith in the voting system, should he win.
Rather, his language is propaganda that undercuts the complete belief in
the integrity of the American voting system. Trump is not bright enough to
realize, that even if Trump wins, he is already undercutting the perceived,
accuracy of that win.
---------- ----------

This lying about America's voting system, has got to stop.

When the Republicans tell lies about immigrants, in order to inspire
fear in American citizens, they are attacking the fair and open process
of voting in America.

The false claims by Trump, about election fraud in 2020, feed a cycle of
inspiring abusing behavior by Republicans (who then think that they must
"stop the fraud").

Trump has bypassed all the due process for having fair elections, as set up
by citizens in each state, and has jumped to the false conclusion that there
must be massive election fraud going on.

Georgia judge rules that election officials MUST certify election results
by 5:00 P.M. on the Monday after an election. Suspected fraud or
tampering is NOT a valid reason for holding up the certification.

Note that the issue here is whether or not election officials have the right
to inspect all sorts of voter information, before deciding to certify the
results of the election.

The law in Georgia does not give election officials the right to demand access to voter
information, to do this. In Georgia, the election officials are merely to oversee the
election process, not the vetting of people who are registering to vote.

MAGA Republicans are pushing to allow the election officials to REFUSE to certify
votes cast in the election process, IF the election officials have ANY personal doubt
that the vetting of voters was properly done. But this is not the assigned job of the
election officials, in Georgia.

A judge has turned down the 7 rules that a Georgia election board
tried to make. The reason is that the election board must follow the
laws about elections, that exist in Georgia.

AND, the election board in Georgia HAS NO AUTHORITY to make up
new rules on how the elections should be handled, or who may contest
the outcomes of the election.

This claim goes against the findings of many independent groups, that have
found the U.S. elections to be amazingly accurate, and transparent.

And, going against the mountain of evidence that the 2020 elections
were accurate, and fair, means that J.D. Vance has a real problem
with setting his person wishes and emotions aside, and evaluating
evidence for what it really points to. Vance, is not qualified to be
a Vice President of the United States.

The fair rule of law in America, has affirmed that federal laws about elections,
must be followed by the states.

A federal law says that no changes to the voting lists, may be made later
than 90 days from an election.

It is not that states CANNOT carefully look at those on voting lists to see
if they qualify to vote, BUT that changes to voting lists must be made at least 90
days prior to an election.

Trump has continually claimed that the polls should change to a "paper ballot"
system, as this would be more accurate than the one we use now.

However, 98% of states use polling methods that provide a paper trail
for auditting. And many automated voting machines (such as the touch screen ones) still
produce a paper ballot, that could be auditted.

The article points out that Trump really doesn't understand how voting
in America takes place.

Elon Musk is perpetuating election fraud stories, involving
the Dominion voting machines.

Trump had claimed that the Dominion voting machines, used in the
2020 presidential election, allowed tampering, and therefore, made
that election (basically) invaled.

An interesting article.

Note that ...

1 individual states have their own laws governing elections.

2 It is the state's election laws, and NOT the election officials,
that determine how an election is to be run.

3 Election officials do NOT have the authority to hold up vote
counts or to delay certifying the vote counts. States have existing
methods to challenge vote counts, or claims of fraud.

4 If election officials hold up certifying the vote count from their state,
for whatever reason they state, they may run into the problem that their
electoral college votes may not be counted toward determining who
the next President of the United States is. (!!!)

Curiously, the large bets that are being laid down on who will win this
presidential election, have no influence on the votes that will be cast.
Although bets placed may change the odds offered by the owners of
betting companies, these odds do not change anything in the election
process in the United States.

The question with Musk's offering a million dollars a day, to a random
supporter of his superPAC, is whether this is equivalent to paying someone
to register to vote, or paying someone to vote for a specific candidate.

Obviously, Musk is not randomly choosing a registered voter out of the
entire list of American citizens who are registered to vote.

Flowing cash into a political tool as a superPAC, is the question.
It is proper to ask the question, "Is this legal?" Or is this handing
out money in order to affect the outcome of an election? Note that
there is a long history of righ business men handing out bribes, to
affect the outcome of political races. This was a standard tactic, by the
Italian Mafia families.

The curious thing is that these billionaires are not CONTINUALLY engaging in
putting this sort of cash into projects that would build up all of America,
every day, for all Americans.

If Musk had poured $1,000,000 a day into the charity Habitat for Humanity,
every day in the last year, then he would have a history of being known
for trying to improve the lot of American citizens.
