CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

... now you're just being ridiculous, since that means that the title of the link makes less sense. "Easy to be an atheist if you have a range of emotions for your daughter-in-law." That's just idiotic.
Stop playing games and try and be serious. Just admit that the 'agnore' in the title is a very stupid and silly spelling mistake on the half of the writer of the link.

Traditional Christian theology posits a deity that has existed since eternity without cause. This deity cannot be sensed or measured or tested. For this reason science cannot say anything either for or against this deity. On the other hand, science can measure and test a physical universe because it can be sensed. But then theology goes on to claim that the physical universe did not exist from eternity because it needed to be caused by a deity that cannot be sensed or measured or tested. To me, this claim makes no sense whatsoever. If the hypothetical deity existed from eternity then I do not see why a real universe cannot have done so as well. Whty does one need to be the cause of the other?

Science may be "dumb" but scientists are not, scientists can speak. Science, unlike yourself, knows its limitations. That is attested to by the vast majority of your 3,478,215 posts.

Actually, despite the multiple QEDs in this thread, I'm going to disagree with the article.
To become an atheist, one must:
1. Ignore all evidence that demonstrates the existence of God.
2. Ignore Biblical warnings.
3. Ignore the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
That, to me, takes a lot of effort.
