John 12:32 "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
If you wish to save others as you yourself have been saved, it can seem like a major undertaking to get others to see the light, while at the same time you are completely excited and alert to the things of the Spirit.
It's normal for Christians to attempt to make the salvation experience understood to others by use of their current knowledge of the bible, lessons picked up from older Christians, simple desire for the unsaved person to share the same Life that you experience, etc. Unfortunately, this sometimes takes on the look of a formula.
Many problems creep into "evangelism", or "trying to save others."
Keep in mind Jesus' own words (written above).
Lift up Jesus. Always focus on Him, and He will draw men unto Himself.
Those of us who are older in the Lord, also make a point of sharing our weaknesses (flaws, sins, errors), because we have learned that sinners identify with honesty and weakness, and hate arrogance or superiority attitudes. Don't we all?
So... keep it simple... Lift up Jesus', admit your own weakness, and hope that God grants them revelatory understanding of Himself.
