My neighbor grows mint. Tonight she taught me how to make mint tea.

Anyway, I found this online:

  • 2 cups water (filtered)
  • 15 mint leaves (fresh, peppermint or spearmint) RINSED!
  • Optional: 2 teaspoons sugar (or honey; start with about 1 teaspoon per cup and add more as desired)
  • Optional: ice
  • Optional: lemon slices
  • Optional: lemon juice
Steps to Make It
Gather the ingredients.
Bring the water to a rolling boil.
Remove from heat and add mint leaves.
Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
(My neighbor then strains it through a coffee filter.)
Add optional sweetener as desired.

Sounds like a perfect remedy for a dodgy stomach! I've always found mint to be very soothing. I find the same with ginger too.
I like the sound of your recipe, although for myself, I'd probably serve it hot rather than cold with ice.
