  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Well, when the Revolution comes out, the new weird controller it has should help a little.... hopefully. I am happy you like to play games. It sounds scarry to me to think that when I get older, I may not like games.......or maybe even might start to like country music (shudder). But you are hope!!

LOL! :D You will never get me to like country music (although a fast paced blue grass is fine by me). I like techno/trance, hip-hop/rap, funk, 80's dance & classic disco. I jokingly tell some of these kids who like rap that I've been listening to it for longer than they've been alive. My kids and I listen to the same radio stations and essentially it's the same with gaming.

I started playing Zork when my dad got it for the TRS80. I had an Atari 2600 when it first came out. My husband did too and that was before we married each other.

Now, you can rest assured you will probably still love gaming. I may be 50 but my husband is almost 59 and he still likes computer/console games. He had me buy him a gamecube 2 years ago. And video games for his upcoming birthday. He struggles like I do with the controllers and thinking fast but oh well. It's not that I can't use the controllers, it's that there are so many different moves you have to make on them (in some games). You know what I mean, pressing combinations of buttons to get them to do different things.

This weekend I picked up some used games which seem okay for my needs.

Kya: Dark Lineage (good graphics, very much like Jak and Daxter in appearance). This game throws in stuff like 'flying' in wind tunnels and 'boarding' down water slides, as well as the usual Jak & Daxter format gaming. I'm enjoying it.

Beyond Good and Evil: This one has been fun from what I've seen of my daughter playing it. I got it for me, but oh well, you know how it goes. Good graphics, interesting plot, puzzles to solve.

And since it was a buy 2 get one free special (for used games only), I also got Jet X2O, and it's enjoyable since I like those types of games too.

Got all 3 for $18.00 (had a GameStop discount card for used games).
