I think in line with the most authoritative scripture, these can be most helpful & instructive. For ex. when the Lord says to keep the commandments:

John 14:15-17
Matthew 19:16-19

St. Paul affirms this

Romans 13:8-10
Romans 2

The Old Testament basically concluded:

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

One may ask, “where am I going with this?” See: Ecclesiasticus ( Sirach) 35: ECCLESIASTICUS CHAPTER 35 KJV

The elements of the more authoritative scripture are woven within Ecclesiasticus 35 but are perfected by the Lord with the Gospel. I really believe the Deuterocanons can be most helpful to us.
